I went here due to the outstanding reviews. When I got there I found there was a long wait so went back to my hotel room and ordered through the Yelp app. The menu looked great, as did the photos. I had a hankering for tacos and they have a pretty good selection.

My order - three tacos: one Al Pastor, one Carnitas, one Tinga de Pollo. I also ordered black beans and asked for extra salsa Roja. The expected delivery time was about 45 minutes.

The good - delivery took less than 1/2 hour. The hotel does not allow deliveries directly to the rooms so I was called to come to the lobby to pick everything up. Other good - the Tinga de Pollo was excellent. The Al Pastor was okay. The Carnitas were fairly tasteless. I was really unpleasantly surprised they use rice as a filler. When I first opened the containers (each was packed separately in a styrofoam container), they looked like the portions on meat were very generous. But, when I bit into each one, half was rice. This detracted from the taste and was disappointing. They were very generous with the amount of black beans that they served, a good thing.

Perhaps it would have been better to have waited to dine in. While the ambiance would most certainly have been better and the food hotter when it arrived, I can't imagine they would have used less rice or the Carnitas would have...

I am super surprised at how good this place was! On the outside it doesn’t look the best. And, the prices are really quite cheap. The food might not be the most authentic, and it’s not “high class,” but it is delicious. I tried the empanadas with chicken and cheese, rice, beans, and a churro.

The empanadas were incredibly good! They were huge too. Filled with lots of tasty cheese. The chicken was well cooked and well seasoned. I would have loved it to be a tad more crunchy, but still very good.

The beans (black beans) were just okay. They tasted a bit canned, but they came for free with the empanadas. The rice was pretty good, but not that flavorful. Still tasty though.

The churros was decent as well. It made for a nice dessert. Decent size, but the taste was not remarkable at all. Kind of standard.

All in all, I really enjoyed this place. It’s some of the best empanadas I’ve had in a while. And, the sides aren’t bad either. Very good prices and portions. Definitely recommend for some...

5 out of 5 Stars for this Chimichanga 🌮🔥🙏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Taco Town has plenty of space to sit down at this location in downtown Pittbsurgh and worth every second if you have to wait to get yourself some of this food.

Every dish is cooked to perfection by folks who understand how to plate an authentic meal. I’m often disappointed by the lack of intentional ingredients in Taco joints that pop up - but this place does not disappoint and you’ll be lucky to give it a try if you’re just passing through the Steel City. I can’t wait to get back as a local.

The staff was very queer friendly and responsive to all of the needs that came up throughout the time I spent at Taco Town. Great service makes a huge...

Wow so disappointing. I went to grab some chips and salsa they were out! Who has ever heard of that! So instead I ordered the chips and guacamole. When they brought me my order it was the tiniest cup, maybe 1oz, of guacamole I'd ever seen. I asked them if this was the right size and I was told yes. For $6! Ridiculous on top of that it wasn't even seasoned its like they just mashed an avocado and quickly topped with cilantro! I also ordered a side of beans and rice. Beans were good as usual rice had no seasoning whatsoever! Horrible! I used to love coming here, been coming for 3 years but quality keeps going down along with the portion size, I won't be back.
