Just waited 5 min for nobody to take my order. And then waited another 4 min at the first window for someone to take my order still. While at the first window I called the McDonalds and explained how long I've been waiting, so the girl who answered told the manager at the time (Darcy) that I'm at the window waiting for some customer service. And I hear him in the background "well what the heck?! Why is he at the window?" Soon after they hang up on me. So I wait a couple more minutes. (They gotta be sending someone to help me) NOPE! in fact I call again. And now I'm talking to Darcy, I tell him that I'm the guy patiently waiting for someone to take my order. Now at this time all the cars in front of me have gotten their food and the other guy at the window signals me to move forward (so I do) he reads out an order that was not mine. And I'm still on the phone with Darcy. While I get to the window he rudely asks me " did you even call the right McDonalds?" #LuckyIKnowJesus I look him dead in his eyes hang up my phone and tell him I know damn well which McDonalds I called. He looks shook walks away and does something else. The kid at the window was awesome and very helpful. Didn't get his name but the time was about 8:45 on July 10th he should get recognized for handling the situation quickly and calmly. As a matter of fact Give him darcy's job.
I've worked customer service for the past 12 years and Darcy displayed poor customer service and did not handle himself professionally and or respectfully.

Read moreI don't expect much in the way of service from a fast food restaurant but this place is the worst McDonald's I've ever experienced. Drive through is guaranteed to be slow, even if they are not busy. Getting a correct order is far from guaranteed. My experience is not anecdotal - every time I make the mistake of coming here because of convenience the experience is always less than good and usually really bad. Never again - I'll drive the extra five minutes to the Fullerton location and will still get home more quickly than if I had gone to this Placentia location (and will not have to experience the horrible service).
If you read through the reviews you'll notice that the vast majority of positive reviews are referring to McDonald's in general (e.g. I love their sundaes, or they have the best fries), while the bulk of the reviews about this location in particular are overwhelmingly negative and consistent in their criticism of unbelievably slow service, incorrect orders, poor quality control in food preparation, and obvious apathy from management about all these ongoing problems. Order girl/cashier was probably new since she was fidgeting with the monitor instead of quickly taking the payment. 2nd window was even worse. Nobody there. Looked through window and see 2 guys cleaning (mopping and wiping down counter). Finally a girl peek around the corner looking confused, confirm my order, gave me half, then walked away. A different girl came, looking confused, stared at the monitor, gave me my drinks, said thank you and walked away.
