So trying to not bash them for uncontrolables but it all added up quickly. First we were told they were all out of buns but they would substitue any other bread at no charge. I ordered a crab melt. My family then made all of their orders. The waitress came back and let me know that they were all out of crab. Saturday at lunch time I wouldn't expect to be out of two critical ingredients but it's okay I change my order to a burger no tomato with focaccia bread instead of a bun and a cup of French onion soup with a side of fries.
Everyone at the table is disappointed with their french fries they were all soggy and cold. Of course my burger had tomatoes on it which was my only request, as they don't ask you how you want your burger cooked. I would have requested medium but I got a well done burger.
After peeling the tomatoes off the burger was pretty good. The French onion soup was highly disappointing when I saw the Kraft single style slice of cheese on top. Absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant with sit down dining to offer French onion soup with processed cheese that doesn't melt well on top. What was so unfortunate was the soup broth was delicious. Although the bread inside had gone completely mush the broth was on point. They have a good start with a good dish there if they can afford to get better cheese and make sure the bread doesn't turn to mush before serving.
My wife and sister-in-law both got a chicken sandwich and enjoyed it for the most part minus the fries. My father-in-law got the Reuben and loved it minus the fries. And my little girl got some type of mac and cheese from the kids menu, I'll never understand why restaurants try to make mac and cheese fancy for kids. They don't like rich cheeses or smoked flavors for the most part. The cheesy shells were smoky and bland.
The service was average, it did take 30 minutes after we ordered to get food. The bathroom was dirty the walls are dirty. Overall I can't say I wouldn't go back but I wouldn't recommend it over so many other restaurants on...

As we drove up to the restaurant, sometime happened to be leaving. We got front parking right next to restaurant. There's is a parking garage on the other side, behind the restaurant block.
Pros
Cons
Conclusion Love this little restaurant. Street parking may be a little hard, but there is a parking garage. Staffs were all very nice. There is a small bar, 1st floor to dine and a 2nd floor to dine. Foods were great. Everyone ate their meal with no complaints. I'd go here again next time I'm in this town. Try this place when you're in...
Read moreFranny’s Farm Table has always been a must-visit on my way back from Tahoe. I’m always surprised it’s hard to find on the map and isn’t offered at the top of the list when I search for “restaurants in placerville.” The food here is out of this world and I’ve always had friendly and efficient service.
It’s been years since I’ve been here and was stoked to find it’s still here and really hasn’t changed much. Heavenly was mostly closed due to wind so I decided to get an early start home and was rewarded by catching brunch service here, which is just as delicious as dinner!
The biggest challenge is having to choose between all the delicious options 🤔
Edit: to be completely honest I wrote this as I was awaiting my brunch order. Update after eating—everything above is 100% accurate. If y’all have eaten at better places I’m all ears. Food is fire 🔥 and service is great. I got the two Benedicts combined—tomato, spinach and bacon. They even gave me a couple extra slices of bacon on the side 🥹 The potatoes are crispy and delicious. The photos don’t really do it justice but give you the basic idea (I...
