My visit to this Wendys last night will be my last. Since the Watchung store closed in June, I have been going to this one, and it’s almost always an awful experience. There never seems to be an employee at the register. You must wait as the person who is supposed to be on the register is making fries, packing to-go orders or doing some other task other than helping a customer at the register. I have put up with the extended waits to get assistance but last night was it. There was a supervisor at the Coke machine filling buckets with ice. There was an employee preparing to-go orders right in front of me ignoring me. After 4 minutes the supervisor filling ice buckets came back and walked by the register. I asked if anyone is working the register and she replied, “He has a lot of orders to prepare.” I asked if I should just go somewhere else and she walked aware and ignored me. That infuriated me. I yelled a curse at her and stormed out of the store and will NEVER be back. I have been a Wendy’s customer for years and never had experiences like this in Watchung. The manager of this restaurant must be totally incompetent. She has no idea how to manage a customer facing business. Can someone please explain to me how you change management and swap out almost an entire staff of employees , but still provide trash service lol ? I laugh because it literally must be a joke. The burger bun was stale , just like the staffs attitude and customer service skills ( couldn’t even eat it ) . The ladies in the morning are wonderful and sweet , but that night crew could use some work. Definitely won’t be visiting again. I’m honestly not sure why I came back in the first place lol

The older woman at the window has a horrible attitude . She was working at midnight on Monday. I asked her a question in regards to the orders I was picking up and she cut me off to answer the question she didn’t give the right answer to. I attempted to ask once more to clarify but she proceeded to cut me off again and became aggressive while raising her voice. On top of that the drink order was WRONG and it all could’ve been avoided if she had took the time to listen . She clearly does not need to be dealing with customers. Ordered a large vanilla frostyccino, but I had a coupon that allowed for a free small vanilla or chocolate frostyccino with any purchase. I can see why I should've brought up the coupon initially; however, this minor issue was met with even more attitude and even reluctance to accept the coupon. The lady proceeded to say how I needed to order a breakfast meal to be eligible for the free small frostyccino. Confused, I showed and stated that the coupon specifically states 'any purchase'. After realizing her mistake, rather than any form of apology or understanding, she nags me on how I should've mentioned the coupon earlier and orders one of the workers to make the free frostyccino.
