Edit: Response to the the reply from the busines-- Even though my egg bites had some stuff blended into it, they were incredibly bland and the sandwich description was extremely misleading. I shouldn't have to pay for toppings for a sandwich that was described incorrectly. Next time, specify that the egg bites HAVE those ingredients inside them. A normal person would assume that a sandwich would come with toppings already. The sandwich was truly just egg bites slapped on bread and nothing else. And the restaurant policy of not giving cups of water is stupid, honestly. It's just tap water! Let's not be cheap here.
I've really tried to like this place, but it has been extremely disappointing every single time.
The most recent time I went here, I got one of the sandwiches. It was some kind of pimento pepper egg sandwich (or something along those lines). I expected the sandwich to be like a typical sandwich with toppings, some kind of sauce, and flavor. Turns out, it was literally just a sliced baguette (baguette is a nice way to put it) with three egg bites and nothing else on it. No sauce, no toppings, no nothing. I was shocked and thought that this must have been a mistake, since it didn't even say on the menu that it was just egg bites. Super misleading to describe the egg sandwiches like this and to make them sound like they have actual stuff, only to just slap on some presumably frozen egg bites and call it a day. Really sad that they do this with some of their sandwiches, and kinda unethical, honestly, to overly embellish what the sandwich actually is. This is not an exaggeration at all–another customer posted a review of a similar experience where it was just straight egg bites on sad bread.
I asked for a cup of water and was told that they don't give out cups of water. Are we in Europe or something? I didn't ask for a bottle or anything–just tap water in a cup, but they said "we don't give cups of water." Big red flag that a simple cup of tap water couldn't have even been given.
I went when they opened and was disappointed, but tried again a few times to give a few more chances, since it's a local business. But beware, this is clearly an establishment that just reheats premade stuff...
Read moreI recently went to Black Pearl coffee to try their iced coffee. I usually go to chain stores but when I discovered this cute coffee shop I was excited to give them a try and support a small local business. Sadly, it was a very disappointing experience. I had never been here before, so when I was handed what looked to be a pre-packaged drink with a plastic seal over the top (instead of a lid) I was a bit surprised. I told the worker who handed it to me that I ordered an iced coffee and asked her if that was my order. I was told yes, so I left just assuming maybe their iced coffee here is pre-packaged. It tasted a bit watered down, and was bland - had no coffee taste to it at all and had an odd aftertaste to it. When I went home I looked through pictures from other reviews and discovered that I had been given an iced chai latte. I don't normally leave negative reviews, but an iced chai latte is a drink way outside of my normal preferences and it's not a drink I ever would have chosen. I had even paid extra to upsize to the larger size iced coffee when I ordered because I was happy to support a local coffee shop. So I ended up wasting $4+ to receive a drink that wasn't even anything close to what I ordered. They did seem busy and maybe a bit overwhelmed as it was the weekend, but that is no excuse to fulfill orders so quickly that you can't get them right (especially being that I questioned if my order was correct). I would have rathered a longer wait time and actually have received an iced coffee then to be handed a random drink and told it was my order. Accuracy matters and this experience was not a great first impression that would compel me to become a...

I recently visited Black Pearl Coffee with my husband, eager to explore a new coffee spot as we often do. Unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant.
When we received our coffee, it wasn't made correctly. We politely asked the barista to fix it, but even after the second attempt, the coffee still wasn't up to standard. We decided to give some constructive feedback, expressing our thoughts in a courteous manner.
To our surprise, the barista responded with hostility. She demeaned us and even shouted, informing other customers that we were unhappy with our coffee. This level of rudeness and unprofessional behavior is something we have never encountered in our many coffee explorations.
We hope that Black Pearl Coffee takes this feedback seriously and strives to improve both their customer service and...
