The food is pretty decent. The Pho broth is flavorful and the spring rolls we had was also good. (3/5)
However, service is a different sorry all together right from the moment you walk in.
Instead of meeting the guests at the front (near the sign which says wait to be seated) the hostess/waitress waves you to go upto her to find out how big the party is and then points you to the table she has assigned to the group. I have been there twice and got the wave to come in on both occasions.
On the 2nd occasion, we were seated at 8:15 pm and within a minute they wanted us to place the order since they were closing soon- which we obliged.
We got our pho before our appetizers, which although wasn't ideal we were okay with accommodating it.
We had one sip of the pho and the waitress was back in a jiffy with the check stating that it was because they were closing soon. We figured we could pay once we were done with the meal, but the lady was back insisting us to pay immediately - although not very pleased by her demand we heeded to it, hoping to enjoy the meal peacefully after that.
She was back with the credit card receipts and wanted me to immediately add the tip and sign off on it and went on to that it wasn't her decision but the management had asked her do it. To the best of my ability I explained to her the reason why her actions were not ideal and she insisted that it was not her personal choice but the management insisted on it.
At this point we had completely lost our hope of having a decent meal and once again obliged to her request and signed the receipt over after adding gratuity.
Although I liked the food there, I really doubt if I would be able to convince myself to go back there again. I hope the owner of the establishment takes note of the situation and addresses issues like these.
PS: the closing time listed on google is 9:00 pm and at around 8:45 while we were finishing up our dinner, the waitress jetted out when there were 2 other customers who were also finishing up...
Read moreFood is pretty much on par with any other pho restaurants. And the extra plus is they have a kids menu. The deco is clean and new, the servers are friendly and efficient. However, as an older person, I am not crazy about the style of music they play. Pho places should be family friendly, suitable for all ages. Now, if they only play the music, it could have been okay. But, and it is a huge but for me, they have a TV screen which can be viewed by everyone, and the hour that I was there, there were at least three music videos with scantily-clad women, doing very very sensual movements. Again, as an older person, it is kind of fine with me, but distracting enough for me to not enjoy my meal, and for me to consider whether I want to come back again. Now, there were a few tables with young kids, if I were a parent still have younger kids, I doubt if I will ever bring my young kids to this place. Having said these, if the owner want to attract just the young crowd and not families, by all means. It is their prerogative. But the fact is, there are actually a lot of pho places to choose from. And that is my honest and humble opinion. Updates since I last posted: I've been there many times after I first posted, they have still screen and music only. Today we went again, the music videos are back, there are bikinis ladies, there are, crazy band members wracking each other with their guitars, etc. Again as an adult person, I do not need this kind of distraction while I eat, nor your kids. Come on, this is not...
Read moreIf you have any dietary restrictions, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. They dropped a mystery meatball into my soup without explanation, and I had to go to the front to ask what it was because I couldn’t flag down a waiter. When I finally got an answer, the staff seemed more amused than concerned about their mistake. They had also forgotten to include the quail eggs ordered. After eventually managing to flag someone down and requesting the eggs, I also pointed out that it’s unacceptable to add ingredients people didn’t order, especially when dietary restrictions are a concern.
The waiter made excuses and kept repeating, “Thank you for telling me.” When I asked to speak to a manager, he informed me that he was the manager. There was no apology, no offer to remake my food—just a dismissive attitude treating the error as something trivial.
If this had been a part-time high schooler making a mistake, I could have brushed it off, but this behavior from a manager was incredibly unprofessional. I was so uncomfortable with the situation that I asked for the food to be taken back and left. I gave them ample opportunity to correct the issue, but their lack of customer service left me feeling like I couldn’t trust whatever they might bring out next.
I don’t normally need an apology as long as mistakes are fixed, but this experience was gross from start to finish. Avoid this place if you value your dining experience or have specific...
