My wife and I attended this establishment for the first time and were absolutely blown away! Where do I start? Well, the decor and ambiance is inviting, cozy, beautiful, and modern. The young lady working the register was friendly and served with a big beautiful smile. The owner is very attentive and helpful. He explained what some of the desserts were that we inquired about, made suggestions and was very kind. It felt like we were talking to friends, rather than a transaction. We tried the Matcha Puff Pastry, Milk Tea Puff Pastry, and the Bubble Waffle. The bubble waffle is so unique compared to anything I’ve ever tried before. It comes with your choice of ice cream, 2 toppings and drizzle or you can order from a predetermined menu. We decided to make our own. The Taro ice cream we chose was so freaking good! The bubble waffle was fun to eat because you can break it off into little round pieces or eat it like a gyro. The milk tea pastry was delicious and gave you the boba drink experience as a well crafted dessert. But let’s talk about these puff pastries some more with what is my personal favorite; the Matcha one. O.M.G!! I’m not exaggerating when I say it was perfect! It was everything I hope for and more. It tasted fresh as if it was just made within the hour. It was filled to the brim with cream. It was at the perfect chilled temperature. The flavor was out of this world delicious, sweet but not too sweet. I’m a fan at day one and this is my new favorite spot. I live about 20-25 mins away and will be willing to drive there regularly. Please support this business so that they stay around for a very long time. There are not many places that offer such a unique experience with the flavors to match. The entire experience as a whole was top notch and we’re already planning to go back to try some more puff pastry flavors and coffees. The Japanese inspired desserts were so so good and we look forward to visiting again very soon.
Thank you Shuu...

Firstly, the cream puffs are amazing! We tried the matcha flavor and the strawberry flavor. The cream is light and fluffy, which reminded me of cool whip consistency. Also not too sweet either which I loved. The matcha flavor was light and could be a bit stronger. The strawberry one was my favorite. Strong strawberry flavor that kept you wanting more. The cream puff itself was also very light and not heavy so you weren't left with that uncomfortable feeling afterwards.
Moving onto the black sesame soft serve. This was a bit too sweet for my liking. It was like eating a spoonful of sugar with every bite! It might go well with the bubble waffle though, but by itself was definitely too much.
Service was very friendly everything looked well cleaned and tidy. Overall, I would go back to try their other cream puff flavors as well as the bubble...
Read moreThis is a great spot to go for tastefully done desserts. The soft-serve, Hong Kong style bubble waffles and cream puffs really stand out for me. The stand out soft serve flavors are matcha, black sesame and taro. These soft serve flavors are hard to come by and am so grateful to have a spot close by that does them well. The bubble waffles are made to order with the batter having a nice chew to it, going for one of the specials with soft-serve added takes it to another level. The cream puffs are really PACKED with a nice custard-y cream, similar flavors as the soft serve but they also do have seasonal flavors like earl grey and pumpkin spice.
The server is great: always smiling, friendly and open to elaborating on the offerings. Also had a chance to speak with the owner and found him to be really friendly and open as well. Found out he grew up in Plainsboro so I feel him opening this cafe is like giving back to his home town in a way. This type of cafe was just what Plainsboro was missing and am really grateful it opened. Eager to support this establishment, here's to many more...
