If you're yearning for the flavors of the motherland, Grand Dhaba is where your cravings come home. Tucked inside the bustling entertainment hub at Chisholm Place, Grand Dhaba is more than just a restaurant—it's a celebration of authentic Punjabi cuisine, culture, and community. Whether you're catching up with friends, bringing family, or attending one of the many lively community events organized at the center, this newly opened gem is fast becoming a local favorite for all the right reasons.
What Makes It Special? Curated by none other than Gagan Bhalla, a true connoisseur of desi flavors, Grand Dhaba stays true to its roots—no shortcuts, no compromises—just pure, soul-warming food. The concept is simple yet powerful: bring people together with the irresistible nostalgia of "Chicken Khurana" and the rich flavors of Punjab’s roadside dhabas.
Our Favorites • Sarson Ka Saag: Possibly the best we’ve had outside of Punjab. Fresh, earthy, and cooked with love—it pairs perfectly with hot makki di roti and a dollop of white butter. A winter delight, now available year-round! • Chicken Khurana: The star of the menu. Slow-cooked, full of aromatic spices, and rich in flavor—it’s the kind of dish you plan your next visit around. • Paneer Tikka Masala and Amritsari Kulcha are show-stealers, too—crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside. • Don’t forget to try their Tandoori platters and chaat section for a lighter, yet equally delicious, experience.
What truly sets Grand Dhaba apart is the freshness of ingredients. Every bite reflects thoughtful preparation and a respect for tradition. From the spices to the ghee to the hand-ground masalas—this place doesn’t cut corners.
The restaurant is part of a larger entertainment complex that frequently hosts community get-togethers, cultural festivals, and private events. It’s a one-stop destination for food, fun, and festivities!

Read moreI recently visited Grand Dhaba in Plano for the first time, and it’s already become our favorite spot! We’d previously ordered their choley bhaturey through Uber Eats, and the taste was so incredible—authentic and bursting with flavor—that we couldn’t resist dining in person for dinner. From the moment we walked in, the owner-manager greeted us with such warmth and kindness, making us feel right at home.
The food here is a game-changer. It’s genuinely Punjabi, not like the watered-down versions you find at other places around DFW. The Kadai Paneer was rich and perfectly spiced, while the Gobhi Manchurian was delightfully crispy and packed with flavor—no overwhelming curry leaves, which seems to sneak into everything in this area. We tried a mix of appetizers and main courses, and every dish was delicious, fresh, and true to its roots. You can tell they’re putting real care into the recipes.
The space itself is great too—plenty of room, making it an ideal spot for parties or gatherings. We’re already planning our next visit because Grand Dhaba has nailed it with their food, hospitality, and vibe. If you’re craving authentic Punjabi cuisine without the usual clichés, this place is a must-try!

Read moreI’ve been searching for pani puri and could never find it until Grand Dhaba! It did not disappoint. So many positives, starting with the welcoming hands-on service and absolutely delicious food. The restaurant is part of an event center which happened to be holding a wedding at the time of our visit. The dining area is partitioned off, but you couldn’t help but hear the lively festivities and see the beautiful people in their stunning wedding attire walking about the area. While the space itself may be a little unexpected, the delightful service from servers and the manager, Parish, along with the wonderfully flavorful dishes simply make you feel right at home. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, including veg pakoras, samosas, fried paneer, garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, a taste of curry goat, and of course, the pani puri. My husband also had a mango lassi and said it was the best he’s ever had (and he gets those quite often). All were impressive and incredibly spiced. Whoever is in the kitchen loves what they do and know they’re good at it! We’ll be back for sure, especially because we forgot to take pictures of everything but the mango lassi! We were too busy eating that by the time I remembered to take pics, the...
