There were 8 of us, so it was a bit crowded, but we had a great time. I felt like they really did a great job with the Clue room and we were successful breaking out with 11 minutes to spare, and only used one hint. I've done other breakout rooms, and this is one of my top so far. There were multiple rooms in the Clue challenge, and lots of different puzzles to work through. great story line as well, if you are familiar with the game. We are visiting family, so it was a good family event. Next time we are here, we might try another room. I would highly recommend Breakout Games to anyone considering doing an escape room. At least the Clue room. I can't speak to the rest, but if they are anything like the Clue room, they should be good as well.

Jay, our game master, was excellent. She gets a five star. The story that we did "the kidnapping" gets a 3.5 star. What we liked about the kidnapping was the realistic and scary beginning. The setting was dark and interesting, somewhat anxiety provoking, which is good. Things that we didn't love about it were that the story was a little bit confusing, and it's very lock-heavy, requiring working out lots of numbers and combinations of letters. Some other escape rooms that we've liked in the past included more experiential puzzles. I think this one would be good for those people who like working out codes versus people who want to problem solve with a variety of different interactive puzzles and actions.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the family-friendly escape room! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming, and it was clear that the team had put a lot of thought into creating a fun, engaging experience for all ages. The puzzles were challenging but not overwhelming, making it perfect for everyone in our group, from the kids to the adults. A huge shoutout to Mac, who made our time there even more special. Mac was incredibly helpful, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we were all having a great time. If you’re looking for a fun, family-oriented activity with amazing service, we highly recommend this escape room. We’ll definitely be back!

We did the Clue board game themed escape room and it did not disappoint!!! Our group was my wife and I, and our two kids ages 8 and 9. We are very much fans of the board game and have played quite a bit. This escape room absolutely plays in to the nostalgia of the game! The interactive elements and sort of animated/light effect elements were amazing! Our hostess, Grace I believe was her name (sorry if I got it wrong!), was so much fun and excellent at explaining the ins and outs of the experience. Our kids were nervous about the “unknown” and Grace was amazing to answer all their questions in detail and gave them the confidence to handle the experience. Also if any of the rooms have “jump scare” or sudden startle potential you can ask your host to provide warning when it’s coming. Grace did this for us and was very helpful. Honestly there is nothing at all meant to be startling per se- just when certain panels and doors open when you succeed at a clue it can catch you off guard - but I think this adds to the thrill! Escape rooms aren’t the cheapest family outing by any means, but here the quality was definitely there and the fact that they acquired the licensing from Hasbro making it authentic to the game made it worth every penny!! Highly recommend Breakout Games in Plano! Such a great core memory this morning with the...

My sister and I had a really fun time escaping from Breakout Games' "Clue" escape room. Breakout Games in Plano is on the second floor of a strip mall; we used the stairs and didn't see an elevator so call ahead if you're not able to take the stairs to determine accessibility options. Our gamemaster was Max and he was excellent, giving us just enough guidance (upon request) whenever we got stuck. Max even gave us an "after action review" once we escaped, telling us how we could have done even better than we did. "Clue" is based on the board game of the same name with an important variation which you'll learn when you experience this escape room. In addition to challenging and unique puzzles and excellent props and decor, the game had some really funny narration that made the whole escape room one of our best...

Recently went here for the first time while some family members flew in from out of state. We booked the Wild West escape room and had a great time! We had a great game host who, quite frankly, helped us immensely with clues 😅. I believe her name was Hannah or something close to that name. The room itself was quite cleverly built and planned. The next time I have a group of family or friends who want to do this again, we will definitely return to Breakout Games and try one of their other rooms. I recommend anyone else visiting the DFW area, especially ones staying around Plano, to try this place out! Plenty of places to eat nearby as well.

One thing though, it is located on the second floor of that particular strip mall area. Not sure if they have an elevator nearby for those...
