Oh my goodness. Let me tell you about Shipleys donuts here in plano. If you get there right at 5am (which is just 1 of these times through out the wonderful day at shipleys) to get your donuts fresh and hot, you are in for a treat of your freaking life! The box will come warm, and the donuts warmer. pick you up a donut and shove that sucker in your pie hole! it will melt in your mouth and you will groan with a oral orgasm of greatness from the purely bliss donut made from the holy employees of shipleys plano. as it melts in your mouth you can taste the natural sugar and carefully crafted donut slide down your throat, leaving you furiously reaching for another donut to swallow down. and still im sure if you like donuts, and can eat a dozen easy, get 2. because they are that freaking good served hot! They fry their donuts i believe 4 times a day, so they work thoughtfully through out their business hours to provide top notch wonderful donuts that will have you addicted after the first bite. If you want to impress your friends with a great breakfast or donut place, this is the place to go. It will literally knock their socks off and if youve got multiple friends trying it at the same time. Take cover! lol! the owner and his daughter are incredibly kind and assistive. understanding any problems a customer may have with their efforts and ensuring customer satisfaction every day, every hour, every shift. ……. CRITIC’S REVIEW …… Best glazed donuts in Dallas!!! Unfortunately, 3 other items fell short. Here is what I had.

Glazed: Awesome!! Probably the best in Dallas. Definitely the lightest (like air) and you can’t eat just one! Very nice overall flavor and good icing. Reminds me of Lonestar Donuts from the 70’s… but better. Definitely get these! Score: 10 out of 10

Cinnamon Roll: Good donut base and icing, needs double the cinnamon. Barely detectable. Score: 4 out of 10

Blueberry Cake: Super sweet - overpowering first bite. Don’t get me wrong, I love sweets but this is over the top. Could only eat one bite. It’s not the icing, is the high amount of sugar in the patter. Not getting that again. Score: 0 out of 10

Apple Fritter: A little boring. Not much cinnamon, no apple flavor or chunks, and a very strong sugar level in the batter. Score: 3 out of 10

Atmosphere: Very clean and super good staff. They are friendly and accommodating. Donut display is beautiful.

Overall Score: I’m split on this… it’s a 10 out of 10 on the glazed, 3 out of 10...

Several issues over the past year! Sometimes glazed donuts are great! Sometimes they are dry and hard. I called and offered to bring donuts back to be replaced. The lady manager ( horrible attitude) wants to argue with me. Then she says she can replace my kids donuts. They go in to get them and buy 2 for their grandma since they were still fresh. The husband proceeds to scold my kids about previous donuts and tells them don’t call back with complaints! Wrong answer Sir!!! Management needs to stay in your lane! 😡 You have no right trying to discipline anyone's kids! You talk to the parents only! We won’t be back! The glazed were good! The chocolate was bitter and tastes like chemicals 🤮! You need to work on your customer service skills! Nothing is perfect all the time especially not your donuts! Wake up! Mistakes happen! P.S. if you don’t go within one hour of them coming out fresh! Don’t bother donuts are dry and crunchy! They have about 1 or 2 hour max lifespan 😂 Donuts go ashy 😂🤣 no longer...
