***SOFT OPENING*** Authentic homemade afghani food is finally available in suburbs of dallas! Everybring was sooo fresh and so flavorful like wow!! So glad we got to check them out. Since they are soft opening, they're still working through their menu items and service etc but overall everyone was so friendly with the frequent check in's and gathering feedback from us. Very hospitable folks felt like we were eating with family. For the food, the chutney is 10/10 soo fresh and spicy | loved it and asked for some to go too! The kabobs were super juicy and flavorful. The kabuli pualo is literally the best l've ever had... you know it's freshly made when it has the bones and beef fat still in it and the rice was just cooked to full perfection! Gosh I could eat that every day!! Yummm!! We enjoyed the bulani which is similar to a aloo paratha but different bread and the chutney just takes it to another level. I can't wait to be back and try out more items! Def adding to my favorites!

🌟 A Hidden Gem for Authentic Afghani Cuisine! 🌟 Mashallah, after four years of living in the USA, I finally discovered the real taste of Afghani food—and it was worth the wait! Kababistan is an absolute treasure. Every dish is bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and truly delicious. Even though the restaurant is an hour away from me, I happily make the drive just to enjoy the best Afghani food around. The hospitality is just as impressive as the food. Huge thanks to Jahanger and Atim for their warm welcome and exceptional service. Their kindness made the experience even more memorable. I highly recommend Kababistan to anyone craving authentic Afghani cuisine. Go there, try it, and thank me later! ❤️❤️❤️

I recently visited Kababistan Restaurant and was very impressed with their authentic Afghan dishes. The Afghani beef tikka was juicy and flavorful, with a small piece of fat (charbi) on each skewer that melts in your mouth and takes the taste to another level. It gave the meat a perfect balance of tenderness and richness. I also tried the bolani, which was crispy on the outside and filled with a deliciously seasoned mixture inside. It was a great complement to the meal. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, and the service was excellent. If you are looking for genuine Afghan food, Kababistan is a must-try—especially their beef tikka with charbi.

Was a little hard to find, the restaurant is on the far right corner of the center and so glad we finally made it after weeks of waiting to come to Dallas (I live in Austin).

Plain and simple, some of the best afghan food I’ve ever had at any restaurant. Food quality is not cheap and it’s obvious they use very high quality meat, which is rare for an afghan restaurant.

Bolani was our appetizer, perfect size and texture and not thick (I hate doughy bolani), flavorful, and had that crust. Was very good with the chutney they provided.

Beef Tikka: Tender, juicy, flavorful, amazing. I ordered a second one because it was so good.

Qabuli Palow was phenomenal, rice was flavorful, the lamb was tender fall off the bone, and overall a great dish. I’m always in search of a good Qabuli and it’s so rare to find a place that gets it perfect.

Chapli kabob was cooked well, very juicy inside and went well with the orange sauce they provided with it.

Final dish was the goat Karahi. I would recommend calling in advance for this one if you are in a rush. What an amazing dish. Spiced perfectly, tender meat, very flavorful, and the Afghan bread they provided with it was authentic and out of this world.

Restaurant was very clean! Service was top notch, very friendly team, accommodating and hospitable. Every person working there came and checked on us individually. I wish these guys much success and I can’t wait to come back! Thank you for an amazing dinner and unforgettable experience. This is the standard all afghan restaurants need...

Authentic Afghan Flavors at Kababistan in Plano!

If you're craving truly authentic Afghan cuisine, this place is an absolute treasure for food lovers, and it’s clear from the moment you walk in that you're in for something special. I had the pleasure of trying their Kaboli Pulao and Chapli Kabab, and both dishes were nothing short of exceptional. The Kaboli Pulao was perfectly balanced in flavor. The rice was fluffy and aromatic, and the meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Every bite was a testament to the care and tradition that goes into making this national dish of Afghanistan.

The Chapli Kabab was equally impressive. Spiced just right with a blend of herbs and ground meat, it was juicy, rich, and packed with bold, smoky flavor. It’s one of those dishes that keeps you going back for "just one more bite." What sets Kabaistan apart, beyond the food, is the excellent customer service. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to share their culture through their cuisine. They’re happy to make recommendations and explain the dishes if you’re new to Afghan food, making the whole experience feel welcoming and personal.

Whether you're dining in or taking out, Kabaistan delivers both flavor and hospitality in abundance. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to tell your family and friends about—and return to again and again.

Highly...

Absolutely horrendous service. No clue how this place has so many good reviews. My wife and I with our 3 year old and our 9 month made sure to call beforehand understanding this is a new place. We made sure to tell them we’ll be there on the dot at 7:30 to ensure our table is ready as we cannot wait around with two kids with a car seat and a baby seat. We got there and no table ready. Here’s the kicker, half the restaurant was empty, it wasn’t even that busy. The person that greeted us told us we’ll be getting a table towards the middle of the restaurant which we were happy with. We waited for about 15 minutes before a table right smack dab at the door was ready for us, and that suddenly was given to us. I requested to the same person that no, I specifically wanted that table as I’ll be able to put all my kids things there. The people that came way after us were then seated on the table that was ready and we were left high and dry with a screaming toddler. That’s when I gave up and left. Sad to see a restaurant open that can’t hire a few bussers to clean tables and have them ready for people that have CALLED IN ADVANCE.

Simply put, this restaurant has...
