Was a little hard to find, the restaurant is on the far right corner of the center and so glad we finally made it after weeks of waiting to come to Dallas (I live in Austin).
Plain and simple, some of the best afghan food I’ve ever had at any restaurant. Food quality is not cheap and it’s obvious they use very high quality meat, which is rare for an afghan restaurant.
Bolani was our appetizer, perfect size and texture and not thick (I hate doughy bolani), flavorful, and had that crust. Was very good with the chutney they provided.
Beef Tikka: Tender, juicy, flavorful, amazing. I ordered a second one because it was so good.
Qabuli Palow was phenomenal, rice was flavorful, the lamb was tender fall off the bone, and overall a great dish. I’m always in search of a good Qabuli and it’s so rare to find a place that gets it perfect.
Chapli kabob was cooked well, very juicy inside and went well with the orange sauce they provided with it.
Final dish was the goat Karahi. I would recommend calling in advance for this one if you are in a rush. What an amazing dish. Spiced perfectly, tender meat, very flavorful, and the Afghan bread they provided with it was authentic and out of this world.
Restaurant was very clean! Service was top notch, very friendly team, accommodating and hospitable. Every person working there came and checked on us individually. I wish these guys much success and I can’t wait to come back! Thank you for an amazing dinner and unforgettable experience. This is the standard all afghan restaurants need...

If you're craving truly authentic Afghan cuisine, this place is an absolute treasure for food lovers, and it’s clear from the moment you walk in that you're in for something special. I had the pleasure of trying their Kaboli Pulao and Chapli Kabab, and both dishes were nothing short of exceptional. The Kaboli Pulao was perfectly balanced in flavor. The rice was fluffy and aromatic, and the meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Every bite was a testament to the care and tradition that goes into making this national dish of Afghanistan.
The Chapli Kabab was equally impressive. Spiced just right with a blend of herbs and ground meat, it was juicy, rich, and packed with bold, smoky flavor. It’s one of those dishes that keeps you going back for "just one more bite." What sets Kabaistan apart, beyond the food, is the excellent customer service. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to share their culture through their cuisine. They’re happy to make recommendations and explain the dishes if you’re new to Afghan food, making the whole experience feel welcoming and personal.
Whether you're dining in or taking out, Kabaistan delivers both flavor and hospitality in abundance. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to tell your family and friends about—and return to again and again.

Read moreAbsolutely horrendous service. No clue how this place has so many good reviews. My wife and I with our 3 year old and our 9 month made sure to call beforehand understanding this is a new place. We made sure to tell them we’ll be there on the dot at 7:30 to ensure our table is ready as we cannot wait around with two kids with a car seat and a baby seat. We got there and no table ready. Here’s the kicker, half the restaurant was empty, it wasn’t even that busy. The person that greeted us told us we’ll be getting a table towards the middle of the restaurant which we were happy with. We waited for about 15 minutes before a table right smack dab at the door was ready for us, and that suddenly was given to us. I requested to the same person that no, I specifically wanted that table as I’ll be able to put all my kids things there. The people that came way after us were then seated on the table that was ready and we were left high and dry with a screaming toddler. That’s when I gave up and left. Sad to see a restaurant open that can’t hire a few bussers to clean tables and have them ready for people that have CALLED IN ADVANCE.
Simply put, this restaurant has...
