This place is pretty tasty. I actually didn’t realize this was a sichuanese place since it is surrounded by Indian businesses. But upon further inspection i was pleasantly surprised since I have a craving for Sichuanese food every now and then, and this place is really close to my home. It’s pretty solid! I like the Cumin Lamb, Fish fillet with garlic, and the dried anchovies with peanut appetizer. I usually pay the extra $3 to get the mixed steam veggies to justify eating so much. The food is a little “cleaner” and “healthier” then many Sichuanese places i been too so that is a plus. Yes it’s still oily, salty and spicy but at a reasonable amount. Nothing is overcooked and drenched in a gallon of oil. The meat has good texture, vegetables are crispy, and the sauces and aromatics are balanced.
The menu is a bit on the simple side, but there is enough authentic flavors to keep you excited. The menu is actually like 99% authentic dishes which is a plus. I will go back to try other things. Keep up...
Read moreBeen looking for a good Chinese fried rice since I moved here 3 years ago and still haven’t found it. The fried rice had no taste and some of the rice was still white and clumped together. Got the combination rice and there was barely any meat in it. It was a big container of rice that looked like it had been tossed into the container after being placed in a pan for a little bit to get a brown color. On top of that when asking about a dish the lady taking our order was rude. When we left it seemed like she didn’t even want to say have a good day back. Which is fine, because after tasting the food we won’t be back. I always leave a tip, no matter how bad service is…..but this time I couldn’t bring myself to bc she was rude from the time we walked in, to the moment we left. As if she really didn’t want our business. The 2 stars is because I didn’t want to be too rude, they still deserve ppl to give them a try, regardless how they made me feel….and maybe other...
Read moreService was extraordinary. Despite being takeout, from their polite demeanor over the phone and at pickup time was very satisfactory.
The restaurant has a wide variety of Chinese cuisine with the balance tilting towards Cantonese.
The steamed chicken with ginger and scallion sauce was delicious and an item they it tends to sold out. The fillings for the Siu Mai was very good but the wrapper was a bit too soggy. On the other hand, the wrapper of the har gao was very good, with the right thickness and chewy texture.
The sautéed veggies on a noodle nest was also good. The sauce was a tad thin but the flavor was on point. The fried noodles that serves as the best were crispy and it would’ve been perfect if the thinner and denser noodles were used.
Overall the food was good with good portions...
