I happened upon this spot while shopping at Mitsuwa, and on my first visit I was impressed with their matcha latte. It was smooth, creamy, and had just the right touch of sweetness. I enjoyed it so much that I made a special trip to Plano just to get another one.
Unfortunately, the second visit was a letdown. This time, my drink was packed with ice. When I asked about it, the barista explained that each drink is measured out according to the recipe. I’ve heard this same explanation at another coffee shop, and noticed they both use the same style of very dense ice. The problem is that this type of ice makes the cup look full, but it leaves you with far less liquid than expected. At nearly $9 a cup, getting what feels like only 5 ounces of actual drink is disappointing.
The flavors are excellent, but for that price I’d rather go somewhere that doesn’t overload their drinks with ice. There are plenty of places nearby that make drinks just as good without skimping on the portion. Sadly, I won’t be returning.
Side note: As of October 2025, there are two Yelp profiles for this same location (Legacy in Plano). Check both before making...

If you're a matcha lover, La Maison Bleue is a must-visit. They serve some of the highest quality matcha I’ve had, with deep flavor and smooth, rich textures that really stand out.
My top favorites are the Kuromitsu Matcha, which has a perfect balance of earthiness and sweetness with that luscious black sugar syrup, and the Sakura Cream Matcha, which is floral, creamy, and totally unique. Their other lattes are just as impressive—beautifully crafted and consistently delicious.
I also recently tried their Matcha Daifuku with Strawberry, and wow—it was incredible. The mochi was soft, the matcha flavor was bold without being overpowering, and the strawberry inside was so sweet and fresh, it took the whole experience to the next level.
Whether you're a long-time matcha fan or just starting to explore it, La Maison Bleue is absolutely worth...
Read moreI am so disappointed I supported this place. I came here and there were 2 girls working alone, no older than 18. They were by themselves and told me it would be a little bit on my drink because they were backed up. I had no problem with this and waited. While waiting for my matcha a man who looked like the manager came and saw the girls were backed up and was so incredibly rude to them, he yelled at them for being a little backed up when they were alone with no help. One was taking orders and one was making the drinks. It made me so sad to see how these girls were treated after they were trying to keep up but had no help. The manager proceeded to be rude to them until I left. The matcha I had was delicious, but I never want to support a company who mistreats their workers like this and doesn’t even help them when they...
