Kura Revolving Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Plano

We were sat very quickly because my best friend used the app to put us in line for a table. Our server was very sweet and checked on us regularly to make sure our drinks were filled and that the food was tasting great.

I've been here twice before and always have a good experience. This restaurant has great quality food, service, and environment. Eel is my favorite roll, and my best friend and I were sure to grab some. They were delicious. They do have other rolls that are more american-centric, so if you're the type of person who doesn't really like sushi, there is something for you. Which was sushi with rice and cooked steak or the Texas Roll. They also have ramen available to order.

My best friend and I split a takoyaki and it was so good. It wasn't too sweet to a point it was overwhelming. The red bean paste and the vanilla were wonderful together, and the breaded and fried-shape fish that is a signature of the takoyaki with the red bean paste was divine.

If you don't see a roll that you like on the rotation line, you can order it from the screen above your table. You can also make several orders of the same dish in case more people at your table want the same thing. For every 5 plates that you return in the little slot, you get a little animation on the ordering screen. It's super cute, and it's different every time I come in.

It feels private in the restaurant. The back of the booths are so high up, you don't see anyone else except for your party, and the sneezeguards above the booths that they put up for COVID help too.

If you've never been to a restaurant like this, there are no worries. Your server asks you when you're sitting down if this is your first time coming. They will explain to you how everything works so you have a great experience.

If I could rate zero stars I would. We used to come here all the time, and we finally came back for the first time in awhile and were so disappointed. We waited 10 minutes for our drink, and when we finally got someone to come over to us the waiter had an attitude and said “well you have to enter it in the iPad” which we did and he said “well we didn’t get it.” Then when we tried to eat, our dishes for soy sauce were still dirty from whoever came before us, and the soy sauce bottle was empty. It took another 7 minutes for someone to come over and then refill the bottle, which then promptly broke when we tried to use it. Next when I finally got a plate of sushi, it was gritty like there was sand in it. And everyone who worked there hardly took any accountability, and just kept making up excuses without really apologizing for our experience. At this point we were finally fed up and kept trying to get our check, which we kept asking for and requesting through the iPad and they weren’t bringing it. It was almost like they were just trying to force us to stay. We were at the point where we nearly walked out the door without paying for the one appetizer we ate and the drinks.
