Boba Republic Plano — Restaurant in Plano

Boba Republic is by far my favorite boba establishment. I have multiple boba stores closer to where I live but I will go out of my way to drive here every time. It's always clean inside, and board games are offered to spend time with friends and family while sipping on drinks. There are premade drink options as well as build-your-own tea if you would like something made to your taste. Drinks are highly customizable, even to your preferred percentage of sweetness. Macarons and fresh cookies baked in-house are available for purchase. I have personally only tried the chocolate chip cookies, but they are exceptional and perfect for a sweet craving. For die-hard boba fans there is a selection of Boba Republic merchandise available. One of my favorite things about this place is how late they are open, perfect for late night cravings, Mon-Sat open 11am-10pm and Sunday 11am-9pm. My favorite drink to order here is the Matcha-Strawberry milk at 75% sweetness with tapioca pearls. I definitely recommend this store...

First off. No greeting upon entry. The cafe is gorgeous inside and out, the branding on point. The pictures on the reviews, much much different. Maybe a little more detail on what each drink is? It’s rough when no one ever puts names on what they got… I wanted a tiger snowy drink just not blended. And I got a cup drizzled with caramel filled with ice and milk. The mango drink I ordered wasn’t even orange it looked like a lemon slush curdling after a few minutes. Was very confused. Slightly disappointed seeing as I’m visiting from Florida, first impressions are very important. My mom was upset and got it exchanged for what we’re hoping to get by just showing a picture. And the second time around was a little closer. But not remotely close to the pictures still. They also don’t sell the mochi donuts anymore. They’re cookies now. If you no longer sell the product. Please update by removing or requesting to have the donut pictures removed. Also...

The people working on Friday night just wouldn’t smile, wouldn’t speak up and just kept looking like they didn’t want to be there. They looked like we were an inconvenience. Made us very uncomfortable when trying to order and figure out what our kids would like. The place looks disgusting on the floors and walls. The strawberry popping in the drink was horrible, tasted old. I don’t know how to describe it, the texture wasn’t firm and fun, it was wrinkly and soft. The donut with cereal on it was extremely stale. Then all they had was bamboo straws and it shattered when I poked it through my lid. Pieces of straw in my drink…. They saw this happen and turned away. I tried to just deal with it for a few minutes, but I kept getting pieces of straw in my mouth.
