The food at Lahori Kabab is always delicious, which is why Iâve been a loyal customerâbut the customer service I experienced this past Sunday was absolutely horrible.
I called the Plano location to place an order, and the girl who answered took my order without informing me that the Plano location was under renovation. She told me my food would be ready in 45 minutes. I arrived at the Plano location 45 minutes later, only to find the doors locked. I called the same number back, and the same girl answered with a rude and dismissive tone. She claimed she had told me to go to their Frisco locationâwhich she absolutely did not. I had friends with me in the car on speakerphone, and we all heard the conversationâthere was no mention of a different location.
When I asked her for the correct address, she told me to go to 800 Stonebrook Pkwy in Frisco. I told her that was 40 minutes away and asked why she didnât mention this earlier. She was extremely sassy and dismissive, saying it didnât matter because the food was already ready and gave me zero accountability for the miscommunication.
After driving 40 minutes to the location she gave me, I still couldnât find the store. I called again, and thankfully, a different girl named Millie answered. She was kind, polite, and apologetic. She informed me that I had actually been sent to the wrong location againâit should have been 8200 Stonebrook Pkwy, Frisco, TX.
After an hour of driving around, I finally picked up my food. While Millie continued to be sweet and apologetic in person, the original girl who messed everything up stood behind the counter, making faces and being extremely disrespectfulâeven in person.
Iâve always enjoyed the food here, but if this is the level of customer service being offered, Iâm not sure Iâll be returning to this location. Huge thank you to Millie for trying to make things rightâshe was the only bright spot in this...
Read moreThe overall experience at the restaurant was quite good, though there were a few aspects that left me wanting more. The ambiance was decent, with a cozy setup and comfortable seating, but it did get quite noisy at times. One particular challenge was the constant crying of a baby throughout most of our time there, which made it a bit difficult to fully enjoy the meal in a relaxed setting. That being said, the staff was very friendly and attentive, always checking in to ensure we were comfortable. Their hospitality was definitely a highlight, but the service was slower than expected. It took quite a long time for the food to arrive, which made the wait a bit frustrating, especially since we were quite hungry by the time we ordered.
When the food finally arrived, most of the dishes were enjoyable. The flavors were well-balanced, and some of the items were quite delicious. However, my biggest disappointment was with the biryani, which I had high hopes for. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. The rice was fine, but the chicken in it was spoiled, which completely ruined the dish for me. It was quite surprising and disappointing, as biryani is usually a dish that restaurants take great pride in. Given how excited I was to try it, this was a major letdown.
Despite these issues, I wouldnât say the visit was bad overall. There were definitely positive aspects, like the service and some of the dishes, but the combination of slow service, the noise level, and the disappointing biryani made it feel like the experience didnât fully meet my expectations. I was hoping for something a bit more memorable in a positive way, and while I wouldnât completely rule out coming back, I would be hesitant unless I was sure the food quality...
Read moreLast year, I ordered nihari turned out 4/5 Bihari kabab, turned out 4.5/5.
Yesterday I ordered two chicken rolls (wraps) in naan. The chicken tasted like It was microwaved. And the green chutney on the side went bad.
^^ a couple of months ago.
Edit: 3/10/2025 Nihari went down to below average. It's edible but has no taste. Color was dark brown rather than reddish brown. They overcooked the nihari. Doesn't break as easily as it should. There's a test you can do, take a naan piece and press it down against the meat, if it's cooked properly, it'll be soft and break easily. If it's overcooked, pressing down won't do anything, it'll just stay together. I asked for lemons, onions and cilantro. What they gave me was raw onions for some reason, not even fried, lemons were tiny, barely got any juice out of it, and they gave lettuce instead of cilantro. The lettuce isn't even fresh. Naan was more on the crisp side than the soft, stretchy side. Chai was decent.
Also saw the veggies plate had sugar on the bottom. Either it was an accident or they gave me a dirty plate.
Well I'll stop coming here. Not worth the 24 bucks for nihari, chai,...
