Sunny Donuts — Restaurant in Plano

I was told this was the best place for donuts in Plano but I'm not sure if that person had tried every Donut shop in Plano. Don't get me wrong, I went there, the folks that run the place are very friendly and I was given a handful of gratis holes for the $18 dollars I spent there. Now lets get to the facts, the Donuts there are very common in the Asian Donut world, I mean you can go anywhere and get these, nothing special, but not the worst, just common. They sell a novelty mini cinnamon roll that the kids liked, but when I asked them if it was the best they ever had, I got blank stares, and kids never pull punches when it comes to food. To be a judge of Donuts you must first try the best in the State of Texas which is, in my humble opinion, Roundrock Doughnuts in the town of Roundrock just north of Austin. Of coarse you can't just make a little trip to the town of Roundrock, but you can get an idea of what real yeast Doughnuts, that are tinted yellow because of the farm fresh eggs they use, are like. Needed some kolaches for a district meeting we're having here at the office. I pretty much just googled and went off of reviews to find the best there was. Stumbled upon Sonny's Donuts and decided to go get a sample. The atmosphere is just absolutely welcoming. There was a mother and her 2 children inside chatting with Sonny when I arrived. I introduced myself as I had called earlier to ask about prices and such. She not only gave me a FANTASTIC deal, she also gave me samples of her donut holes and cinnamon rolls to try. She was so friendly, interested in my job, and just absolutely wonderful. I get back to the office and share the samples with my boss who is absolutely thrilled! Her kolaches are the BEST I have EVER eaten. And the cinnamon rolls, OMG literally to die for. You think your mouth watered before...Needless to say, Sonny Donuts will continue to receive our business when we need to place big orders...
