Little Greek Fresh Grill — Restaurant in Plano

First off I am a huge fan of Greek food. I saw the name Little Greek at the local Greek Festival and wanted to try it.

I have to say I left wondering if I just picked a bad day.

Lunch Order: Spanikopita, Gyro, Fries, Iced Tea.

Spanikopita was delivered to the table and looked amazing. Unfortunately it had been microwaved. The spinach had the taste I wanted but the phyllo was rubbery, had lost all of the signature flakiness you expect from it. It was almost impossible to cut it with a fork. Really disappointed with how they butchered this dish. Had I stopped the review here I would hate giving even 1 star.

Gyro and fries arrived. Gyro was tasty and I enjoyed it. This made the trip better but that microwaved phyllo is still on my mind.

French fries were hot, but tasted like the fryer is ready for some fresh oil.

All in all I want to give it another try but I think I will delay that for now as we have too many other Greek...

Good service, gyro meat was good. Rice is lacking. Chicken souvlaki was ok. As was the beef. Avgolemono was watery.

Downgraded on stars because they are lacking on hygiene. I saw the woman who was plating my soup grab a spoon and wipe it on the bottom of her t-shirt before she put it on my soup plate. I appreciate her not giving me a dirty spoon, but really?? On her tshirt??? Yuck!

Also, the other woman who was helping to plate food, she had gloves on, but then grabbed her phone, didn’t change out her gloves, and grabbed two pitas from the grill and cut them up. Whatever germs were on her phone and any other surface she was touching (the business phone) were transferred to the pita bread 🤢

The chefs were far better about cleanliness. The helpers were not and they are the ones plating.

Okay, if you like Greek food you HAVE to try this place!!! Salads come with SO MUCH on them including their own potato salad which is so good. They also have an appetizer of stuffed grape leaves (they only have the kind with meat) and they are amazing however I definetly prefer the taziki that comes with your side of pita that comes with your meal as a dipping sauce for them. Hubby got lamb skewers dinner & I had the gyro plate. SO GOOD. Their meat is raosted with rosemary which takes their meat up another notch. They're saffron rice is so good. Due to the romaine lettuce epidemic their salads are currently being made with iceberg lettuce but they are still delicious!! We didnt get to try their hummus but we definetly will be doing that next time. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend! 10/10 WILL...
