Disclaimer: this is a lengthy review that had to be as such for full disclosure of our negative experience:
12/24/24. I rarely come here anymore after coming for decades and this Christmas Eve visit solidified never returning. Our server Lucy immediately gave vibes she didn’t wanna be there. Just the mad look alone on her face made that clear. She kept calling me “dear” in a condescending way. And annoyed with simple questions/requests. I told her the mature ladies dining with us & are family here all the way from Brazil. We asked her to take our picture and her reaction was clear she just wanted us to order. Fast forward. A manager came up to us… (I know this manager) & swings a chair up to our table & sits and said “what did you do to my server” and I “cussed” at her. We were all shocked because that was a straight lie! Rather than hear me he rolled with her absurd claim and said he gonna get us a different server. Walks away. My mother in-law couldn’t believe he sat there and did that in front of them. I then asked Lucy why she told him that… she said she couldn’t serve someone who was talking like I was. I asked her what in the world did I say. She said “You said move this soda crap out the way (when she was about to take our pic I started moving dirty dishes, etc. out of the pic). I told her I said that to myself and I moved it and why would she get upset about that. When she saw that was ridiculous of her to say she said she didn’t like the way I ordered my meal (which she didn’t put it in how I requested , plus she put the wrong beverage in I asked for; the bartender brought me red wine even after I said to her I don’t like red, after the white sangria I got tasted like flat soda). “You said you wanted the Ravioli made the old way and not the new “s&@” sauce they use now”. I told her I said “nasty crap sauce” but I also told her if she over heard me say “s&@” about something else I never directed it to her. She then clutched her imaginary pearls and said she can’t serve someone who uses that language. Now here’s the funny part… she SAID the “word”… but you’re offended, Lucy?! Then she needed to save herself and kept saying “I’m sorry, I’m sorry”. Too late. You’ve already contributed to ruining my Brazilian family’s Christmas Eve & first (and last) time at Maggianos. I told Lucy multiple times nothing she overheard in our conversations was directed to her & thats our personalities. If she can’t handle diverse personalities & not be sensitive about the way someone orders (as long as it’s not mean to her) then she should work in an industry with no people interaction. The server replaced with was Zoey and she was obnoxious & rude from the moment she came to the table after my husband asked her to give us a minute (we were still reeling from the craziness with Lucy) & Zoey missed the simplest of details (like forks); we couldn’t get out of there fast enough. One last point… my mother-in-law said she noticed one of the hostesses rolling her eyes at me when I was standing waiting to be seated. I knew exactly who she was referring to. I said she was someone I used to associate with & that I stopped and clearly she hasn’t let it go because when I walked back to the front to go take a gift outside to someone in the parking lot… I walked up to her saying my name telling a manager (who I don’t know)I was here. Which was wild! There are many way better places in Plano with stellar service and not serving lukewarm food as ours...
Read moreI've always had great experience with Maggianos. And its has been my favorite restaurant. The food has always been a 10 star plus!! Until my experience on March 18,2025. All of that became a thing of the past. Me and my family always dine in. Or do take out for a family of 5. With that being said I expected the e quality of my order. Would be the same. As usual due to the fact that we usually order. The same menu items because the quality usually is wonderful. I ordered around 8:15pm I picked up around 8:45pm. I didn't check my order because everything usely is top tier. However, can you imagine the shock on my face when I realized my ordered wasn't up to par. I Immediately call the restaurant. And then ask to speak with management. I explained to management that I had ordered three chicken alfredo's. And I have added shrimp To two of those dishes. I went on to let him know that to my surprise. When I opened up the dinners that there was. Little to no sauce on the dishes at all. The food was still very warm. However, the noodles and the shrimp were very overcooked. Which Has never happened before. I went on to ask him. Is this something new that they're doing at the restaurant? And he said yes, and I asked him would the food. Be consistently like that and he agreed that it would be. I did let him know that the food was not up to my standards? He actually laughed the situation off. And went on to say it probably over cooked in the container.🤦♀️He did not offer any type of resolution. For the situation if anything he made me out to be at fault. I've always felt like a valuebal customer at Maggianos. However now after this particular situation. Makes me feel as though I am not.The manger I spoke with made sure to let me know. That it was totally my fault that the food was dry. And over cooked. He insisted that, I waited to long to get the food home. Mind you I only live 12 minutes away. I truly thought by calling and talking with the management. That I would feel better about the experience. I had and now I feel taken advange of. Management let me know that there was nothing he could do to fix the situation. And I simply told him my family and I.Would not be doing business with the Restaurant anymore he didn't have anything to say. And I told him to have a good evening. Needless to say, that was money down the drain because we threw all of the food away. And had to order pizza. I'm not leaving this review to distur.Anyone from dining at the restaurant? How however I will say that earlier you dine or order the...
Read moreI wanted to take my husband out for a nice lunch, but it was not nice at all. I ordered sparkling water, zucchini fritti; Blackened Salmon with Calabria shrimp and substituted the spinach for broccoli. My husband ordered a Sprite, spaghetti and meatballs with a side order of mashed potatoes. I got my sparkling water right away but it took time for my husband to get his Sprite. He started to wonder why his spaghetti was taking so long. I assumed they wanted to bring our entrees out together. The server stopped by the table to confirm my husband’s order several minutes later (25 minutes+-). Well, he finally got his spaghetti with meatball but I still had to wait for my entree. It finally arrived but it had spinach and I wanted broccoli. So, the server took it away and I had to wait. Then, they brought my entree with spinach and broccoli but NO mashed potatoes. I called the Manager over and said my entree was missing the mashed potatoes. He defended what I was brought by saying I swapped mashed potatoes for broccoli. It also had a heap of peppers which I could smell before the plate was sat in front of me, unlike the first plate. I told him my order was incorrect. I asked, what if I was allergic to spinach? He said my entree did not come with mashed potatoes and he knows because he wrote the recipe. I told him he was incorrect and he accused me of yelling at him. I asked him to bring me a menu which has mashed potatoes. I guess to deflect the fact they got my order wrong twice he wanted to accuse me of yelling. He finally brought the menu over and I pointed out the mashed potatoes are included. He just shrugged his shoulders. He continued to talk without giving me an opportunity to speak. I simply said if you stop talking I can explain how to resolve it. I said that a few times before he finally stopped talking to hear me. I asked for him to bring me a side of mashed potatoes. I was not enjoying myself and did not want to eat there anymore. I went to the host and asked for them to send the server over to bring the bill. They brought containers which you see in my attached photo. The Manager gave my husband a $25 gift card but I will never return to this restaurant. They did not get my order right, argued with me, and attempted to deflect their mistakes on me. I will just go to Olive Garden rather than spending $100 for two...
