I’ll keep this as simple and honest as possible.
ATMOSPHERE: Since the restaurant is in a food court there’s nothing to complain about the atmosphere of the restaurant.
SERVICE: The girl who took my order, was kind and friendly, so the service was ok.
FOOD: I’ve ordered the Samsung Jajangmyeon (Black bean Noodle + Seafood ), and Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour fried pork)
The main thing in the noodles is the Jajang (black bean paste) on which was flavorless in this dish, as I was mixing the paste with the noodles, I could see the excess of sesame oil from the “sauce“ (the only thing that I could taste). When we talk about the ingredients of the sauce, everything was there besides the pork that should be added even on the seafood version, but even the sauce not missing much, there was a lack of ingredients: seafood, and the obvious lack black been paste. The noodles were great, they really adhere to the sauce, so even not being the authentic shape, it is great (it would be delicious if the sauce was good). The price is not would not be bad at $13 if the food was correctly made. I’ve eaten instant jajangmyeong noddles, more flavorful than this.
In the other hand the pork at $18, is definitely overpriced. The pork was not crispy, rather mushy and tasteless, the sauce was good and well made, but an overall disappointment due to the skinny over breaded pork.
CONCLUSION: If you love jajangmyeong like me, and have been craving it for some time, do not eat here.
I can’t speak for the other options in this restaurant, I’ve read that some...
Read moreThe food was decent, but the service was bad. Following the usual food court protocol, we cleaned up after ourselves by taking the tray to the tray collection area, only to be told not to do so in an unfriendly manner. Later, staff came and abruptly took our plates away without checking if we had finished—there was still food on some of them. When we asked for a container for our unfinished soup, we were told it cost $0.50 and that we must pay in cash. When we mentioned we didn’t have cash and inquired if we could get one for free, the response was a curt and abrupt “No.” The service was quite disappointing, even for a food court. I will...
Read moreIt’s okay foods. We got black bean noodles with seafood, #8 jam pong & fried rice and fried chicken with garlic sauce. Black bean and Jampong Noodles are udon noodles which are thick and hard to tell absorbing the sauce. Personally I think thin noodles are better for this type of foods. Sauces are quite good. Black bean noodle sauce is thick and flavorful. Jampong sauce has some grilled shrimp and vegetables. I think cook is good at frying. Fried rice and fried chicken are crispy and have smoky flavor. Fried chicken sauce has a little bit of ketchup taste but it...
