Bad Manager
I came here at around 1:30pm and was surprised there was still a decent length line (around 4 people). There was only one person taking orders. When I get to the second place in line the manager, Sandra, came up to take care of an additional register. "Next in line," she said.
I go up to place my order, and the employee manning the first register leans over and says that the card machine isn't working on the second register. She looks at him in frustration, as if it were his fault, turns back to me and says rudely, "Well, do you have cash?" I tell her that I do not have cash on my person and she says "Well then we'll just try the card machine anyways."
She begrudgingly takes my order, and when it comes time to charge my card she firmly says "DON'T swipe your card yet." She fumbles around with the computer, I see the card machine go back to the first screen, and she looks up at me and says, again in the same rude tone "Did you swipe your card??" I tell her that I didn't swipe my card. She goes back to fumbling with the computer again, I see the screen come up asking for my card and she says "NOW swipe your card." I swipe my card and the transaction goes through successfully. She hands me my receipt and turns toward the employee who said the card machine wasn't working and gives him a dirty look. He says in defense, "They told me that it stopped working!" She turns away from him without even responding and walks away.
The manager comes back a few minutes later with my order. I watched them put everything in the bag I asked for, and noticed she didn't tell them to put in barbecue sauce like I asked for. So when she hands me my order, I ask for barbecue sauce. She rolls her eyes, hands me my barbecue sauce, and turns around to the employee at the first register and says "You forgot to give him his barbecue sauce." even though she was the one that took my order. This manager needs a serious attitude adjustment. She was rude to me, and her employees.
I even shared a look with the employee at the first register as I was walking away, a sort of smirk, and he smirked back. He knew what I wanted to say to that manager.
I don't personally mind people being rude to me, especially if it can be attributed to a one-time thing. But to see employees treated like that particularly bothers me. No one should be subjected to a work...
Read moreif i could do negative stars i would... they was not together this morning.. i got there at 337am they said they wasn't taking orders anymore because they had to clean until 4:00 mind you this is a 24-hour McDonald's. so that aggravated me cuz it's snowing and icey outside and they just took an order from the car in front of me. so I drove off I looked up another McDonald's that said they was open till 4:00 and I rushed over there and made it there at 3:47 a.m. and they had already shut down and left so I went back to the 1st one and got there at 357 a.m. then the man tells me that he ain't taking orders for another 10 minutes because their system went down. I told him that's crazy cuz while ago you said y'all had to clean and for me to come back at 4:00. realizing that he was busted in a lie he asked me what I wanted so I started ordering hamburgers and fries and then he turns to menu off and tells me we only serving breakfast now. I said give me one second,and when I was ready, he never responded bk, I kept saying hello I'm ready to order but nothing so I drove up to the window and I saw a lady there she was on the phone she never acknowledged me I was waving at her I started honking and she walked off then I saw the guy they had the headset on that I was speaking to through the speaker and he was mopping the floor.so I got out my car and knocked on the glass because he wasn't responding to my honks either and I asked him if he got my order cuz I never heard him say anything and he said I'm sorry I had to change the battery in my headset and as he was speaking to me he turned his headset back on mind you he had already started mopping and said that he changed the battery so he never even turned it back on for me knowing I was trying to order earlier. I gave him my order he asked for my card without telling me how much it was then he walks off with it and holds it for like 10 minutes while I'm sitting at the window waiting on my card and my food needless to say it took 30 minutes to order and receive three hash browns and three sausage biscuits. which actually tasted like it had been reheated from the day before because the biscuit was hard and just a taste of it so they get no stars for me at all hopefully they get it right for you if you...
Read moreThis McDonalds used to be incredible, if maybe a little slow. The managers and staff were always really kind and nice, and it was a nice place to hang out at during the night, as the lobby used to be 24/7.
Ever since Covid, they've taken every opportunity to do the absolute bare minimum, and I suspect that the managers that were here before COVID have since left.
For example, despite their posted hours on their door and I believe even online still saying the lobby is 24 hours, the staff lock the doors at 7 PM. Additionally, they've taken seemingly every opportunity to be rude to me and my friends whenever we show up. One time after they locked the lobby early, we ordered on our phones and they had to bring the food out to a parking spot as a to-go order. The staff who did it obviously had an attitude and literally the following weekend the parking lot to-go orders were shut down after 5 PM.
The very few times we've arrived before the doors were locked, maybe at 6 or so, we've been literally screamed at by people at the counter to leave the lobby, despite being unaware that the lobby was closed (again, it was 6 PM and the door was unlocked).
I'm really not sure what happened to the staff here. I had been coming most weekends for literal years before 2020, and each and every time the staff was not only kind, but also welcoming to all of us. But after a small hiatus due to the lockdowns, the staff has been rude and standoffish literally every visit since. And the wait times are even longer than before.
I've also found that on multiple occasions, if you do the mobile pickup option where they'll bring your food to your parking spot, they will receive the order and mark it as complete a few minutes later, even if you haven't gotten your food. I suspect their system has a completion time and they are doing this to make their numbers look better, but it has led to multiple situations in which I'm sitting in a spot for half an hour with my order marked as "completed" because they told the system they finished it and forgot...
