Everything is going downhill and this place is no different. I ordered the stir fried chili lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowl ($11.95!) over the phone for pick-up and I asked for extra veggies. The person who took my order even clarified what veggies I wanted and I said cucumbers, carrots and cilantro. They charged me at least $2 extra for this. When I got home, I found that the "extra veggies" were a pile of wet, brown iceberg lettuce, a couple bean sprouts and a couple julienned cucumber pieces. I did not get the veggies I specifically requested and ALSO there was a big piece of plastic sitting right on top of my noodles...like from a plastic food bag or something. None of the vegetables seemed fresh. The food did not have very much flavor and I was paranoid about finding more debris in my food, so I didn't really enjoy eating it. I only ate it because I paid over $20 for my whole meal. I can make better Asian food at home, and I'm a very white girl from Texas. I don't have time to cook, so takeout is convenient, but I've had a couple bad experiences at a few different Asian restaurants lately, so I guess I'll be buckling down and making...
Read moreLooking for good Vietnamese food? Yes you can fine it here. We were craving for Vietnamese food this night so we decided to try Pho Apple because it was close to our place. Came in with a group of 5 and we were sat right away with menus and waters. After looking through their extensive menu, I decided on the spiced roasted chicken (10.95$) and my friends got their fried pork & crispy egg rolls vermicelli (8.95$), and pho combination (9.95$). I also ordered their Asian style chicken wings (6.95$) for appetizer because I’m always up for some chicken wings. After 15 mins, we got our food and I have to say it was pretty good. The chicken wings had a nice sweet and savory flavor that I really liked. The spiced roasted chicken was crispy and nicely portioned and the vermicelli also tasted good with a nice serving of meat. The pho was somewhat disappointing because although it was tasty, it was too small of a portion for large at 9.95$. The staff are nice, friendly and attentive. The restaurant also had a nice atmosphere and clean compared to others. All and all, thumbs up...
Read moreWe've been looking for a great pho place for awhile now. It is truly our comfort food but we've been so disappointed with so many places out here. We have finally found a place that lives up to our standards. The shrimp spring rolls are tightly wrapped and delicious. The peanut sauce is a bit overpowering but at the same time, good. We came for lunch so we ate light. After the spring rolls, my girlfriend got the veggie pho and I had the seafood noodle soup. First the veggie pho. Beautifully cooked broccoli, carrots, and delicious fried tofu. There was actually a lot of tofu and broccoli, but we didn't mind. Texture of the tofu was great with a fried exterior and soft interior. The broth was clean tasting and well balance. Onto the seafood noodle soup. Basically, I mean come on, this is seafood pho, which is exactly what I wanted. Came with shrimp, squid, and fish balls, all of which were delicious. Broth was also very clean with subtle seafood flavor to it. Really good soup. Servings were generous and we have leftovers. We are looking forward to our...
