My experience today was horrible based on the serious attitude from the lady at the register. Michelle made my order, it is not correct and she and I were discussing what went wrong. Not a problem, I understand ppl can misread the order. The problem that made the experience awful was the lady that inserted herself into the conversation, an brown skin either latin or indian lady with major attitude, did not hv a full command of the English language. Very rude, kept interrupting my conversation w Michelle. When I told her the situation was under control and to stay out of it. Then she proceeds to say oh well let's give you refund. I told her no, it was offered to be remade and I drove there and I wanted it remade. She continued to try to argue w me n say I don't think you will be happy so you get refund. I told her no, that is not your call, I am the customer. It was obvious she got angry because I told her to stay out of it. Ppl should really be careful of how they treat people and what they say in this crazy world. Anyways, it was remade and Michelle was professional. However, it stayed w me the negative energy and I returned and told Michelle I'd like a refund, which she gave me. Thankfully the lady wasn't there when I returned. When I left the 1st time, went to my yoga appt around the corner - ppl talk n my friends their heard about my experience. They were like- I would not give my money to a place that hired ppl like that, who does this lady think she is... etc... Mike - I hope you can hire better. I hv been going to Vitality bowls for years, before, during, after the pandemic - multiple locations. This one is now off our list because of this employee. From the other reviews, it seems her go to is to offer refunds and not fix her attitude so there is no reason to hv to give refunds.
MY RESPONSE To Mike & Suzette - The Awful Owners: Interesting your choice of inflammatory words to describe your version of what happened - 'rant, demanded'. How was Michelle and I able to hv a discussion where Suzette interrupted twice to ask questions if it was a 'rant' and when I returned, why would I hv to 'demand' a refund when it was already offered - it was quick and peaceful and Michelle even apologized again when she gave me my refund, so what are you talking about psycho?? At a minimum, one other employee was there and knows you are liars. That is enough for me. They see you both hv no integrity. If you hv to give yourself compliments, that says it all. Read moreOk, this is tough to post because I really want this place to be successful. I had an unsatisfactory experience with the food here. It was my first visit and met an old friend for dinner here. I chose it specifically because we both are eating only healthy foods. I ordered the pesto chicken bowl and my friend who was also there for the first time did the same. The bowls were ready in about 10 minutes. They looked ok but the veggies looked a little wilted. The first couple of bites with the pesto sauce were awesome, but then I bit into some rice. I thought I was going to crack my teeth it was so hard. If it was just a little undercooked I probably would have just worked around it. My friend's bowl was the same. We let the staff know and it took them at least 30 minutes to figure out what to do and give us a refund. We were in no rush as we were really focused on visiting and catching up. The staff came across as untrained. I asked if we could order something else, and they suggested having a wrap. I had to ask if they had properly cooked rice and the answer was 'no'. We could see a crock pot steaming in the kitchen which meant it was going to be a while if we wanted anything with rice. So, we ordered without rice. The clerk charged us full price for that. No offer of a discount or free drink for our trouble. They were pleasant enough in their demeanor, but seemed clueless about good customer service and quality assurance. Read moreVery poor service! I've waited for 20 minutes for my large tropical bowl. It was my first time trying this place since it's closer to me than Nektar. However, I think I rather drive the further distance to get faster service.
The staff never provided me an update 10 minutes in of waiting. I asked at the 15 minute mark. They told me they were backed up, which is possible on Saturday at noon. However, at the time of order, they should have told me how backed up they were. I feel like staff was probably working on food app orders.
Very horrible experience. I only saw two people waiting before me. So if they were backed up by other online orders, they should have prioritized the people in front of them. I would not recommend this location at all due to the service. None of the employees compensated the 20 minute wait.. The only difference is that this place has substitute for gluten free options and honey instead of agave at Nektar. Even though gluten free option was horrible....it was basically gluten free cereal in my bowl. Not gluten free granola as they market it on menu. Save yourself time and...
