Summary: Rude with a hint of racism.
I came in here with about 6 friends to play the trivia and we were squeezed in a small table. Midway through the game, one of the teams apparently left their table so we went and sat there.
One of the women in that team came back and started arguing, eventually telling us to "Get Up." in a very rude manner. She complained to the waitress who came over and asked us to leave, even though they had no stuff left at the table and they dont take reservations. The waitress then became rude at one of my friends and the two got into an argument.
She pointed the bouncer towards my friend and indicated us to leave the bar. Didnt ask us to pay yet. We went to a neighboring bar and the waitress followed us there and asked for money and told the staff at the other bar not to let us in! I told my friends to pay her cash and NOT credit card, so she doesnt have to walk back to swipe the credit card. She misheard me and told the other bar's staff, "See? He wants me to walk back, dont let such people in!" Why did she have to assume that I had the worst possible intentions? We didnt tip her of course, and she said that it meanst, "I am basically paying for your drinks".
Rude and unprofessional? Yes. Racist?Well, our group were a mix of indian, hispanic, african american and european. The waitresses immediately sided with the white lady in the other trivia team and we were labelled the angry/mean (insert color here) even though the other side was equally rude and had no claim to the table. "Mishearing" me and assuming my intentions are bad? Hard not to see a...
Read moreI visited Ringo's Pub on the 17th of April, 2013. I went there to see a good friend of mine play music. The waitress asked me for my debit card even though I told her I would be paying in cash. She took my card because she assumed I would run out on the bill. When it came time to pay she took my cash and gave me back my debit card. The next morning I got a text from my bank telling me my account was low. When I checked I noticed she had charged my debit card as well as taking my cash the night before. So I called Ringo's to conplain and the manager was very dismissive of my complaint and somewhat rude about the whole thing telling me that it is standard practice to take peoples cards when sitting on the patio. I am writing to let people know that this business allows their employees to be thieves because they are theives themselves. I am still waiting for my money to get back into my account. I guess they love lawsuits. I will never go to...
Read moreIf you know what you are getting I think this place is alright. I have never once had a good experience with any of the bartenders and that's part of the charm. I know when I go in I will be greeted by an angry bartender and get a drink that doesn't taste great but is cheap by Plano standards. Last time I ordered a Pizza I waited over 45 minutes before asking again about it, they said it was almost done, it came out minutes later ice cold. It had definitely been left in the back after being done and was just forgotten. I regrettably still ate it and felt sick later that night. Its never clean and the food is not recommended. But if you want a "dive bar" experience this is pretty close. I go here to play darts and have my drink be stuck to the dirty tables. Its always uncomfortably warm and humid even if its cold outside. Keep your expectations low and you will love it. If you know what to expect it can be...
