Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Plano

I really don't like to complain when it comes to another person making food or drinks for myself and my family as I know food service, it would be impossible for everything to be perfect every time. But we do pay the most for what we get when buying a drink, I'm talking a simple large vanilla Dr. Pepper, that is usually what fast food establishments profit from. That said, in a past life, not too long ago, all I did was make drinks for Starbucks and while I understand Starbucks drinks are substantially more, you are not only paying for the beverage, it's the customer service experience that you should get at every single Corp or, to me, any place where that Starbucks logo is displayed. We were trained but it's also common sense one would hope, to treat others how you want to be treated, do it consistently, honestly and within the scope of your job. It was never a problem and Should Never be an issue to remake a drink that doesn't taste like you want it. Off my soapbox, I just would like to see every area Sonic go back to their roots a little bit and get back to the high standards they used to have for their drinks. To see some consistency in the amount of ice from store to store would be nice because I don't know anymore if I need to say extra ice or little ice and it depends on who makes the drink as there have been times when there was no ice in the cup, when I can remember for years....yes, a bit of a fan of vanilla Dr Pepper and cherry limeades....all you had to do was pull in, order, and shortly thereafter, your wonderful beverage was ready in your hand, the right amount of ice, syrup, soda mixed perfectly. Sonic, we love getting drinks at your restaurants but Please, Please try to get back on track with consistency. Nobody wants to drink 44 ounces of anything when it's not just right. Also, please understand this does not apply to the folks who just can't be pleased at all, they should simply make their drink at home as there is no logical reason to request a food establishment to meet crazy demands and remake 5 drinks because the diet soda tastes like diet soda...

WHOEVER owns this location needs to handle business at the location!!! Poor service, and employees taking phone off the hook so their is a constant busy signal if you try and call. Very unprofessional. I Had a door dash delivery from here. My dasher got there and they claim to have given it to someone else ..after reading reviews they tend to "say" they do that a lot. I waited 45 min for food that I never got. They wasted my dashers time, my time waiting on my order. Door dash credited me so I placed yet another order of the same thing, my dasher waited there for a long time waiting on the order and I can only pray its correct when I receive it. Someone needs to check this location and find out WHY they continue to say they gave orders to the wrong person. I use to order from here at least once or twice a week but may need to rethink this location. I own a Business myself and this is unacceptable and someone needs to make a change. As clearly the reviews show the same. AND PLEASE don't copy and paste the same response you do to all the negative reviews. Should be a legit response and I would probably call the number but it will probably be busy!

GOT A CHICKEN SANDWICH AND THE LETTUCE WAS DISGUSTING, I COULDNT FIND...

I visited this Sonic for breakfast. They were pretty fast when bringing the orders out. My car hop, Mark, was friendly and fast. I ordered the #15 ultimate meat breakfast burrito. The burrito was lacking on the meat. After all, I do order it because it is called the ultimate meat, not ultimate egg. There for it should be heavy on the meat. It was on the light side containing meat. It definitely could have used more meat. The tator tots could have been crunchier. I have eaten at plenty of Sonics to know what to expect. Their tots were a tad on the soft side. The vanilla Dr Pepper I ordered was on point! Great amount of vanilla and not loaded with ice! Perfect when it came to my drink! I was impressed that I didn't even have to ask for salsa to go with my breakfast burrito because they already had it in the bag. They also included salt without me having to ask. The car hop readily had ketchup available when I asked, which is nice. I didn't have to wait for him to take the time to go back inside and get it. Overall, my experience here was great except for the couple of minor things I've listed above. I would definitely give this Sonic another try in...
