Stepping into The Dream Taco felt like entering a whimsical haven for taco enthusiasts. The ambiance was a feast for the eyes with its cute decor, creating the perfect backdrop for a culinary adventure. Now, let’s talk vegan wonders.
First up, the Philly Cheese taco, a vegan masterpiece that could rival any carnivorous version. The blend of flavors was a symphony in my mouth, and I almost forgot it was plant-based. Then came the Skirt Steak, an impeccable imitation that left me questioning if my taste buds had been pranked – in the best possible way.
But the star of the show was undoubtedly the Bulgogi. The savory, slightly sweet marinade transformed every bite into a flavorful journey. I may or may not have shed a tear of joy while savoring it. The Tofu and Avocado Tempura (Temprayyy, Lol) offered a delightful crunch, while the Beef Wellington taco was a surreal fusion of gourmet and street food, making me question why I hadn’t encountered this genius combination sooner.
The soundtrack of my meal? The harmonious chorus of “ummm, ummmm” as I relished each bite, a subconscious expression of pure satisfaction. I managed to conquer three tacos on the spot, packing the others to prolong the joy.
The Dream Taco’s commitment to excellence wasn’t limited to the culinary delights; their customer service was a shining beacon. The staff’s enthusiasm and attentiveness added an extra layer of enjoyment to the entire experience, making me feel like a cherished guest in a taco wonderland.
In conclusion, if your dreams involve tacos that transcend the boundaries of taste, flavor, and imagination, The Dream Taco in Plano, Texas, is your utopia. Whether you’re a die-hard vegan or a curious carnivore, this place will make your taste buds do a happy dance, leaving you with a lingering craving for more. Taco dreams really do come true!

Read moreFirst time here and it definitely won’t be the last. Had heard only wonderful things about this establishment and decided to stop in for lunch today. Walking in, I felt the positive, welcoming energy and enthralling aura of the space. You are immediately transported to an enchanting place and begin to feel a sense of renewal. Delightfully adorned with all things spring, a lounge feel, elements from various geographical regions, and a classy vibe - lies this gem.
We were promptly greeted, seated, and handed Menus by Maddie - a true rockstar who provided attentive service and checked on us throughout our meal - and ensured we had everything we needed. She was so patient with us as we told her it was our first visit. Mom and I both ordered Chips and Queso and Spicy Mango Margaritas to start things off (phenomenal and with the tajin on the rim, took it to a whole new level), followed by a Tandoori Chicken Taco and a Spicy Chicken Taco (on corn tortillas) to share. Both excellent and just the right portion size! Definitely something to write home about. Tender, flavorful, and just the right amount of boldness and intensity to please the palate. We ordered a slice of Tres Leches Cake to share for dessert. Light, moist, and fluffy with just a hint of sweetness. Brad - I believe he may be a manager - approached our table and apologized for not being able to include ice cream with the cake slice due to having unintentionally left the freezer open and discounted the item. It was not necessary but it was kind of them.
From start to finish, the food, service, and ambiance were absolutely on point. I would rate them 10 stars if I could. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Glad to see this place is in town and I wish them well. They have a neat vibe and tasty concept which we and the rest of DFW will enjoy for years to come! Special thanks to Maddie and Brad - the true standouts on our first visit. We...
Read moreThe Dream Tacos is a fantastic taco spot located in Plano, just off Preston Road in a shopping plaza next to the NYLO Hotel. With plenty of free parking right in front, it’s a convenient and inviting destination for food lovers.
Chef Chetra has truly outdone himself with this creative culinary concept, blending French, Japanese, Southern BBQ, Southeast Asian, and Mexican flavors into a diverse menu filled with unique taco options.
Not only is the food exceptional, but the ambiance and decor are equally impressive. Unlike many places that focus on aesthetics but fall short on quality and service, The Dream Tacos delivers on all fronts—atmosphere, food, drinks, and service.
My sister and I shared the brisket tostada pizza (a solid 10/10), and for our tacos, I went with the mahi-mahi topped with fresh mango and pineapple salsa, citrus sauce, and sriracha (10/10), while she ordered the bulgogi Korean taco (also 10/10). We also tried a few martinis during happy hour (available for $2 off from 3–6 PM, making them around $10 each). While the food was outstanding, the drinks were a bit underwhelming, earning a 6/10 due to light pours.
The only hiccup during our visit was a slight delay in getting our check, as our server was occupied with a large party. We had to head to the bar to settle up, but it was a minor issue in an otherwise great experience. Overall, I’d rate the visit an 8/10.
