I'm surprised the owner does not charge for the air we breathe in when we enter their establishment! This is the second large order of roti that I ordered here, and it will be the last. The first time was a disaster, but the owner fixed the issue. I decided to give them another try. Jasmine, the lady who took my order, seemed to be always confused. I placed an order for stew chicken and rice and peas with extra gravy and two doubles. I was told in a rude manner that I must pay for the extra gravy 😳After paying $50 for roti, I must pay for extra gravy. This is not the way to keep customers coming back. But, as per Jasmine, they have enough customers. The food is not worth it. I bite the bullet because of distance, but now I'll drive the extra miles to visit the other West Indian restaurants that sell delicious food. The doubles here was awful! The manager gave Jasmine the okay to give me the gravy free of charge. The total was $13. I paid with cash. She entered my 10-dollar bill in some sort of ridiculous counterfeit machine. The machine was not accepting my $10. Jasmine threw my money at me and 'ordered' me to give her another $10 bill because "the machine not accepting the bill give me another $10 bill." Luckily, I had another $10 bill. She tried it again, and the same thing occurred, accusing me of giving her the same bill. I was livid! I showed her the bill I gave her before and told her that the bills were not counterfeit. She rudely kept going back and forth to the kitchen. I was ready to cancel my entire order, but it was too late to order a large number of roti anywhere else. If you can not tell the difference between real and counterfeit money, you shouldn't be working with money. Because of her rude attitude and behavior, you guys lost a customer, and I will be sharing my experience with my family and friends and suggest that they visit a better West Indian restaurant that sells authentic and tasty W.I food with great customer service.
To the owner: you said to me when I placed my first order with Jasmine when half of my food was not given to me that Jasmine is costing you money. Suffice it to say, it's the truth!...
Read moreI ordered 2 doubles today 35 mins prior to arrival. Once i got to the register to pick up she (heavy set black woman with short hair) told me there are people before me. I advised i called 35 mins prior that i am not a walk in. She remembered me calling but apparently forgot to put in my order, having the audacity to say in a stern way "people dont call to order just 2 doubles".. i said i placed an order for pick up it should have been ready by now 35 mins after me calling it's just 2 doubles
If she had any tact or common sense, she could have told the lady preparing other doubles to simply make my 2 and send me on my way because she knew i called and she forgot... She said i still have to wait regardless, no sort of apology for forgetting to make my order or anything.
As i paid, because i decided to wait, I said what the point to call ahead if you dont have it ready, asked if she can make the doubles now, while I paid as it would take less than a minute to assemble...
She then had the gaul to then say that i had a choice to wait or not ... So i chose to have her give me back my money and lose a customer... Stink attitude... if she's the owner ..she is a lousy businesswoman... if she just a worker the owner need to talk to her on how to deal with people... wish i could give zero stars...
the new owners or who ever runs this place need to be like the original owners they are...

If you’re looking for authentic, absolutely delicious Trinidadian food in Plantation, FL, Ali’s Roti Shop is where it’s at! My husband and I just had the most incredible meal here, and I’m still thinking about it.
The Roti- Oh my goodness, the sass roti! Hot, soft, and fluffy - exactly how it should be. You can tell they make it fresh and with care. It’s the perfect vehicle for all those amazing accompaniments.
The Doubles were perfection! The bara had that ideal soft texture with just the right thickness - not too thick, not too thin. The channa? Spot-on consistency. And don’t even get me started on the sauces - they had every sauce you could want, and each one was perfectly balanced.
The Food - I went with the fried aloo and tomato choka, and WOW. My husband got the bhagi and baigan choka, and we were both in heaven. Everything was seasoned beautifully and tasted so authentic and homemade.
The Drinks - We paired our meal with a Shandy Sorrel and a Banana Solo, which were the perfect complement to the food. So refreshing!
Customer Service- 100%! The staff was friendly, helpful, and clearly take pride in what they do.
Ali’s Roti Shop isn’t just a restaurant - it’s an experience. Whether you’re Trini or just love incredible food, you NEED to visit. We’ll definitely be back soon!...
