Purchased 2 Lalo and Dewey plates, got home to eat the food only to find out that it was old and smelled sour ( Santi). I called to let them know then took the food back and the lady wanted to debate. She had the nerve to tell me that I don't know what fresh Lalo is. She assumed that because I'm American that I don't know what I'm talking about. I informed that may not be Haitian but my husband and his parents are. I told her that any person with common sense could tell the food was old just by the taste and smell. I thought that it was just me at first but my mil, husband and his grandfather all said the same thing. If you're going to open up a business especially a restaurant, you need to have good customer service and the food should be fresh. STOP SELLING PEOPLE OLD FOOD AND RIPPING THEM OFF. Nothing was fresh. The soup tasted like it had been sitting for days and was overly seasoned, as if old and new batches had been mixed together. The patties were dry, barely filled, and clearly reheated. Even the dried peanuts were so unappetizing they made you not want to take another bite.
I spent $21 and regretted every dollar—though my dogs enjoyed the leftovers more than I did.
