I have been looking for new sub place to try and stumbled upon this place as it is near my office. I decided to try it out for my lunch break. It is a small take out only shop. The interior is rundown and dirty (but I have been to some similar type places that have been amazing besides the look.). I ordered an Italian cold cut sub. There is no size to choose from or at least wasn't offered. The sub is an 8". I requested the usual toppings of lettuce, onions, pickles, banana peppers, and mayo. I was told they did not have any more provolone cheese and only had white or yellow American. Although I was little hesitant I opted for the white American. Also, they had little to no options for chips to accompany the sandwich. I was also surprised as I was told it was going to coast $15.00. While this seemed a bit high I thought maybe it would be worth it. When it came time to consume, I opened the bag and the sub looked as any other. However, from there it was all down hill. First, the cheese did not go well with the sub. I should have just left that out. Next, the pickles were diced to be more like relish. This wouldn't be a problem but they didn't drain them enough and the brine was soaking the sandwich and dripping everywhere. The banana peppers had a taste of olive for some reason. The meats were very bland for cuts that should be heavy on flavor. For the money I spent I have to admit it was one for the worst sandwiches I...
Read moreOrder a cheeseburger and steak sub. The steak sub was okay. The cheeseburger sub was subpar and mediocre. They charge you $14 dollars for mostly bread and lettuce, with barely enough burger meat. The burger to meat ratio was not worth the $14 dollar price. They give you a thin burger patty. One patty and a half to be exact, that goes on your 12" cheeseburger sub. They should at least give you 2 whole beef patties to make the burger sub somewhat feasible for the price. I don't understand this stingy-ism logic from management. They refuse to give people their money's worth. I can't stand stingy food establishments.
Not only are they pricey with their cheeseburger subs, they don't accept credit card. Can you say customer inconvenience?? In addition, the guy who was taking my order was sweating profusely. Slinging and dripping sweat and body fluids everywhere without any long sleeves on. From his forehead to his arms. Sweat was dripping everywhere. In proximity where there was food and beverages. Very unsanitary and disturbing to bear witness to this. Too many illnesses and diseases out here to have body fluids and sweat dripping near customer's food or beverages. It's disgusting. Hope they rectify these issues before they lose more customers. Because I won't be...
Read moreSo I'm from The Bronx, this morning I started to want a chop cheese sandwich. You cook the meat add the seasonings and cheese and they cook it with the spatulas, chopping up the meat. So eventually I Google where's the nearest place that sells chop cheese? Famous Phil's came so I called and asked if they made it she said what is it? We have hamburger subs I said the meat is chopped up. Not a problem come on over. When I tell you it tasted just like being back home omg! I've lived in Florida over 20 years there are many foods here that remind me off home. And I see all you complaining about the space or renovations. It is fine the way it is it not meant for you to come and sit down it's a sub shop. You get it and go! Definitely felt like being back home!! Shelia and Ramonda were a pleasure to chat with and I appreciate the accommodation they made for me other places have flat out refused. I will definitely be returning there!!! Oh I almost forgot in the picture that's half of the sub and that drink is a medium, it's huge!!!! I couldn't attach them but they are...
