I chose to try this place based on their good reviews and I was EXTREMELY disappointed. My sister and I ordered a lavender latte, the chicken BTL and the truffle potatoes and eggs. The lavender latte was delicious, so I had high hopes for the food. I received the truffle potatoes and eggs, tried it, and noticed that the potatoes were very hard, dry, and tasted stale. I had my sister try a bite to get her opinion on it and she said the potatoes tasted as if they are bad. I apologized to the waitress and asked if I may please order something else. The owner then came to the table and said to me "I am going to comp the truffle potatoes, but if you do not like this next dish you will have to pay for it." I had not even received the replacement dish and was confused why he felt the need to have this conversation. I explained to the owner that I felt he was making an issue before there was an issue and I had no intentions of going through his entire menu, trying dishes and then sending them back. But I do not feel that I should be expected to pay for a dish where there is an item that literally tasted stale. This argument continued for a few minutes before I told him I did not want to order anything else because I feel like he has created an issue that was not going to be an issue. The waitress was mortified by the owners behavior and apologized profusely. I left this restaurant humiliated, feeling belittled and angry that this even occurred. I have never had an owner approach me the way he has and I will never go back here or recommend someone to go here! Spend your money somewhere else that will treat you with respect and won't create a problem that was...
Read moreI ordered something that did not look anything like the photo online. When I brought that to their attention, they said that they do not make it with those ingredients anymore. So, I said that’s fine I will just get a refund as the photo was misleading. The owner/manager came out from the kitchen to go back and forth with me and told me that I was stupid because I couldn’t read the ingredients on the menu properly. I was in shock. I would have been fine with a refund, but being told that I can’t read was unnecessary and they’ve lost a customer.
Hey, chat GPT, it is considered false advertising if a restaurant presents a photo that does not represent the item they serve?
“It can be considered false advertising if the food served differs significantly from the photo or listed ingredients on the menu, especially if it misleads customers about the nature, quality, or ingredients of the product.
Restaurants are typically expected to represent their menu items truthfully. If the photo or description creates an impression that the food will be of a certain type, quality, or appearance and the actual product deviates noticeably, it could violate consumer protection laws depending on where you are. Misleading advertising can result in fines, legal action, or loss of customer trust.”
God bless y’all. And stay safe out there....
Read moreAlthough the service was mostly competent, the real problem was the food. The chicken bowl was just...bad. The chicken was presumably...poached? But it tasted steamed and microwaved. Bland, with a weird texture.
There was supposed to be a vinaigrette to jazz up the cauliflower rice, but if it were there, it didn't really do its job. The rest of the bowl was jarred pickled onions, jarred roasted peppers and oddly a handful of potato chips. When I saw the ingredients, I expected house made onions, actual fresh vegetables they roasted, and some sort of house made chip for crunch. It was literally like a handful of Lay's tossed in the bowl--why? And the other ingredients were straight from the jar.
The other dishes on the table looked slightly better, but this food was just not good. While the prices for the meals were reasonable, the soft drinks were outrageous. $4 for a juice size glass of iced tea that they weren't even prompt to refill. One person in my party did not order any beverage other than tap water, and the server was clearly trying to push--they were asked no less than 3 times didn't they want something else to drink? It bordered on pushy. Once we saw the prices of those drinks, it made sense--those are clearly the profit margins.
With so many options in the immediate area I cannot...
