I ordered for take out. 1st time ever trying this restaurant. I will say the food was delicious, but the portion sizes for the rolls were VERY small compared to ither sushi places. I was curious about the fusion, though, so I wanted to try it. Did not see the portion sizes until I got home. Usually I order 2 rolls and is enough for us to split it. Each roll had only 5 pieces, and the size of the pieces were very small. Again, delicious, but I had to give hubby 3 pieces of each roll, which only left me with 2. That plus a salad left me very hungry. We're usually stuffed. Other sushi places have 8 or 10 pieces in their rolls, for similar pricing, and the portion sizes are huge. I did like the pizza sushi roll the best, but the value of what you get for what you pay for makes me hesitant to return. They also only gave me the tiniest dab of wasabi, 1 slice of ginger, and no soy sauce. I would like to mention they only had 1 table with customers and they came in after I did. While very friendly, sort of clueless of what should be included with a sushi to go order. Looks like a nice place to dine in and they have a lot of interesting items on the menu, but if you're watching your budget, be aware of the small portions for the price. I spent $48 for 2 rolls (5 SMALL pieces each), 1 ginger salad, 1 wakame salad, and we were still...
Read moreWe had an amazing experience at the Sushiato location in Plantation. Our server, Miriam, was absolutely wonderful — friendly, super efficient, and knew every dish on the menu, giving us great recommendations.
The place is small but modern inside, with plenty of parking available. We enjoyed some Kirin Light beers served in perfectly chilled glasses, along with Pork Belly Bao, Tartar Temptation, and the Sushiato Salad to start. For our main rolls, we had the Volcano Roll, Acevichado, and Crazy Ebi Roll, and everything was delicious. Super fresh and the mix of different spices that make for the fusion make their dishes unique and truly exquisite. We finished with their donuts for dessert, which were the perfect ending.
Great ambiance, good music, and amazing food — 100%...
Read moreGood part: Bao Buns are stupid delicious and food overall was good.
Eh part: price for bao buns. $10 for two that are barebones is some level of gentrification.
Bad part: The service sucked. Our waiter seemed so uninterested in serving us. After our initial order. My boo had to get out of her seat TWICE go to the counter to order. It was like one of those “You got his order wrong” situations because it just made no sense that we waited over 15 minutes without ANY attention from staff and the dudes attitude was one of a bothered person. It seemed to piss him off that we interrupted him. The faster part of his service was when we paid and he made it clear that we can leave a tip. It was unpleasant and considering it’s DEAD in here, I doubt I’ll...
