Olivo Mediterranean Cuisine — Restaurant in Plantation

I stopped by this place on a Monday on my way back home based on the reviews. The place was empty. I ordered to go. Everything was wrong from the beginning. I ordered 2 lunch specials with gyro meat and a lentil soup. The lady that entered my order only put 1 gyro meat. I was with my toddler so I was trying to keep him from running everywhere and didn’t question anything when I paid for my order. When it was ready I grabbed it and left without checking anything (my fault!! I’m also 4 months postpartum so the mama brain is real). I got home to find a lame sandwich in my box with nothing else! The lunch special was supposed to be gyro meat with rice and salad. I got a pita bread with 5 slices of gyro and some lettuce… I wish I took a picture!! When I called, the chef admitted his mistake and told me to come back so that he will make me another one. I leave 20 mns from the restaurant so I wasn’t going to drive back for a meal. He kind of got a bit rude but offered me a refund. I accepted. (I was charged $14 and some change for a piece of pita bread and some gyro). And by the way the lunch special was supposed to be $12.99. He told me the refund will show in 24 hours. The way he said it, I knew this was never going to happen! Well, that was Monday. It’s Thursday and the charge has cleared on my account. No refund! So never again. Even if I was in the area, I probably wouldn’t go back to get my meal because the food was...

Friend of Mine Mentioned it to me so I thought give it a try and I am glad I did Restaurant is Super Clean and have nice comfortable seating. Staff is very polite and friendly during our visit server regularly checked if wee needed anything else. First of all upon asking we been told that every thing is made from scratch in house made which is big as freshly baked Pita bread and reheated pita taste totally different, Ordered Few Appetizers and Mix Grill for 2 and everything is prefect, Meat was cooked my desired well done temperature and not only everything was Juicy but had a lot of Flavors, Honestly I can eat these appetizers and Fresh Baked Pita bread any day and be happy. My Favorite was Jerusalem Salad For the Mix Grill you do have the option to get Rice of French Fries , Quantity of the meat was more than enough for 2 People and once again everything was Super Delicious and honestly I cant even pick a Favorite as everything was good and to top it off Mint Tea Seal the Deal When we were about to leave i got a moment to chat with owner who is also Head Chef he sounded very passionate and you can tell that cooking is what he love and you can witness that in the food Flavors. But is ⚠️ Not Real “Mandi”⚠️

I was disappointed with my recent Mandi experience at your restaurant. I traveled for 2 hours specifically to try your Mandi, as I've been craving it for a while. Unfortunately, the dish I received didn't meet my expectations. While I appreciate your menu offering Mandi, what I received felt significantly different from the traditional dish. It seemed more like spiced rice with other ingredients, rather than the Mandi I was expecting.

I understand that interpretations of dishes can vary, and I'm not trying to be disrespectful. However, I would appreciate it if you could consider reviewing your menu description and potentially adjusting the dish to better reflect what it actually is. This would help manage expectations and ensure a more satisfying experience for future customers.
