Edited6/21- Edward came through! Called in and asked for Edward. He came to the phone, was polite, listened and actually remembered the situation. He had our pizza here in less than 30 minutes. The quality of the pizza was top notch!!I’ll say it again. Accidents happen…it’s how they are handled that makes the difference!! Edward you are appreciated!! He is what every manager should strive to be! Update: The manager, Edward called, and asked for more information. He listened, apologized, and asked how he could make it right. He applied a credit to our account for our next order as all we wanted was what we paid for. His acknowledgement and appropriate resolution is the customer service we wanted and expected. Mistakes happen…it’s how we deal with them that matters! 5⭐️for Edward!! Rating updated for this. Will update again after we use the credit. 6/9 we returned home from a long day of travel and had family in from out of town. We placed an online order to be delivered which we usually do about once a week. The tracker stated that the order had been delivered at 11:02 and it had not. I attempted to contact the store. After being on hold with no answer for 8 minutes I hung up and called back and left to drive to the store at the same time as it closed at 11:30. A man answered the phone after 6 more minutes of being on the phone and put me on hold to contact the driver. He had not returned to the phone by the time I arrived at the store but was on the phone with the driver (drew) who stated it had been delivered. After arguing with me for a few minutes and telling me not to shoot the messenger the man in the store told me that he could remake the pizzas, but he really didn’t want to because he was trying to close. I informed him that I have video surveillance of my house recording 24 hours a day seven days a week and offered to show him video direct from the app on my phone. I then called my husband to check to make sure they had not been delivered while I was gone and they had not. Drew arrived back at the store and insisted that he delivered to my house. There are specific delivery instructions that instruct the drivers to ensure they are on Terrace and not Ave as it is right around the corner. We were weekly customers and after those incident we will be finding a new pizza place. Accidents happen; mistakes are made…we are all human. Read moreI’m only posting this out of concern. I walked into the restaurant to pick up my order and noticed a gentleman mopping the floor. I didn’t think anything of it because it was raining outside and I assumed they wanted to keep the floor cleaned. What made this experience alarming was there was a white gentleman wearing eyeglasses who was mopping the floor and the bucket spilled over which caused him to slip and his eyeglasses fell off! I started to ask if he was OK however he was so annoyed at what happened. He slammed the mop down, picked up his glasses and was muttering expletives. As he moved the mop and bucket to the side after mopping up the spill he made. WHAT HAPPENED NEXT WAS VERY ALARMING. HE THEN WENT OVER TO THE PIZZA PREP STATION AND STARTED TO PREPARE A PIE WITHOUT EVEN WASHING HIS HANDS. WHAT WAS EVEN MORE ALARMING WAS THE MANAGER RUNG MY ORDER UP BUT SHE DIDN’T EVEN TELL HIM TO GO WASH HIS HANDS OR PUT ON GLOVES! For starters that’s unsanitary! Secondly, there’s no telling what kind of germs or diseases such as fecal matter, E. coli, or any other bacteria that could’ve been picked up from mopping the floor, and you put your bare hands on the pizza that you’re serving to your customers! After witnessing that, I took my two pizzas that I ordered. I left the location and threw it in the trash because there’s no telling if they did that in front of my face what they did to my pizza. I didn’t want to ask for a refund or make a scene because I did not want to deal with any confrontational drama, but this was a stock reminder not to support that...
Read moreMy biggest issue with this location is the majority of the staff don't check the notes when you place the order online or through the Papa Johns app it seems. I don't know how many times now I've specified a specific sauce and got regular pizza sauce instead with my various sides and it's getting very annoying. Even putting "CHECK SAUCE" on the online notes seems to be ignored by the majority of the staff in charge of getting the food orders set up and ready for delivery.
Other than the above issue with them ignoring the notes on the order and giving the wrong sauce, the location is decent for a franchise chain though the parking lot could do with better entry ways and the construction happening at the time of this review makes it more annoying if you need to do a U-Turn in the area. The staff are also nice people at least so that's a plus. I normally have no issues with anything else in my orders (It's just the sauce for me that keeps getting screwed up) so that's a nice bonus to know.
I would give a 4 since no place is perfect, but due to the constant issues of receiving the wrong sauces I can't go any...
