This is the worst experience I have had broward mall at any sushi store. This store is unsanitary, and the raw salmon that they serve with the sushi is completely unacceptable. Today October 8 at 9:20 PM I went to es to make an order for takeout for the same exact three rolls of sushi. I wanted 3 Philadelphia rolls to share between me and my friend. The first thing I tell the lady that is standing in the front desk is to please take out the cucumber. I made myself very clear on this because of how sick it makes me to eat this and my friend does not like it. When open up the food to my surprise all 3 Philadelphia rolls where stuffed with cucumber. And not only that. The raw salmon in the Philadelphia rolls is incredibly awful. I have never tasted a salmon in this condition ever in my life. it was so rotten that half of every piece of salmon in the roll was dark grey when its supposed to be orange-pink. This is something that not only proves the bad quality of the food but it shows how ignorant the employe that was in the front was. The worst part about this is that she made me feel like my order wasn’t important enough to give me the actual thing I asked for and even worse, give me rotten salmon. Since I walked in the restaurant she was not being helpful and did not care about any of the things the ingredients in the maki rolls that I asked her if there was. This is totally messed up taking into account that I paid the exact same thing everybody pays for that same roll and the listed price which gives no reason for me to get a downgrade of the actual product I ordered. I should not say downgrade instead I should say that the salmon was not in eatable conditions. Thinking that all this bad service and ignorance was probably because of me being a minor made my experience more unpleasant. A have been to the Pembroke Pines location many times but this was my third time at the plantation walk location. The only thing that justifies the way that I think is that none of the times that I have came to this location with my mom the service has been this bad. What type of service gives better quality food of the same exact type to their clients based on how old they are? If you are not okay with this then I would not recomend you to eat at this place. At least at the plantation...
Read moreVisited this location, service was slow, food took forever and it was lunch time. The restaurant was empty but still had to wait extended periods of time for the meals. The wrong food order was brought out and when I went to pay, they charged us for some food items twice on the BOGO and said oh, its whatever costs the highest! No sir, this isn't PUBLIX where you but two types of cereals a d you pay for the higher and get the cheaper for free! In top of it all, I had 2 gift cards which were given to me as a promo in December for buying $100 worth of gift cards and the cards were empty, never loaded by management when I bought 3 $50 gift cards in December 2024. They basically lied and tried to make me pay for food that I didn't buy two of! Server said, well look you get the Sushi free and only pay for the other items? Yeah, 2 items that cost more than the Sushi yet im supposed to be happy that I'm getting a free item which I did consume but you're charging for 2 others that were more but not what I ordered originally?! Yeah, I think not! I asked the server to correct the bill and charge me for what we really ate. He came back and said, the manager couldn't do it so he just removed 1 of the two charges and charged for the Sushi! Well, thank you cause that's exacrly what we consumed so, your manager got the bill right! He didn't do us a favor, he charged for what we ordered! We will never come to this place again! You lost a family of 5 who will never visit your location again even if it were the last place on earth to eat! Ownership needs to review their staff and train better or hire better and honest team members. Look at your bill people, or you'll be charged for food you didn't consume. Be...
Read moreI made it just in time for my lunch reservation at RA Sushi Bar Restaurant. At first glance the restaurant has such a bold casual vibe with it's red & black decor. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There's also seating around the bar area and the sushi bar. The hostess and bartender who greeted me was friendly.
While taking a few minutes overlooking the menu, I was surprised that none of the drinks appealed to me so I just settled for a soft drink. Large selection of sushi, entrees, poke bowls, bento boxes and much more. Menu prices are moderate, yet the prices for the lunch deals and happy hour are reasonable. I placed an order for a California roll which was served with miso soup and uchi no salad. Here's my thoughts about the food:
It was my first time having miso soup. Nothing much to it...just scallions, pieces of kelp seaweed and tofu in a unique flavored broth. Never had tofu before and I'm not sure if I would have it again. That jelly-like texture needs getting used to...it was ok though. The uchi no salad was freshly made with mixed greens and sliced cherry tomatoes in a soy-ginger vinaigrette...again just ok. The California roll was freshly made and was tasty. Soy sauce was provided for dipping. Wasn't salty. Had a bit of room for dessert so I ordered the coconut creme brulee which was creamy and delectable.
Overall the meal was somewhat enjoyable. Honestly I could've done without the soup and salad. If I was to return, I would like to try their entrees or...
