. .7/1/19- second time here , Fort Lauderdale. Sat in Christie booth . Good sever. We started with two ice tea's. I had a coupon, but of course I didn't see it had expired. But she did try with their little hip computer to give it to us . Our meals came with soup or salad . I had the Matzaball soup , a little salty plus last time it came with noodles. Not today . Plus the Shepard's Pie . G had the Liver and onions ,which came with broccoli and mashed potatoes. My shepherd pie had mushrooms , never knew Shepard's pie to have shrooms. Must be their way . IMO it should ssybon menu. Before we even had let's say a few bites , she drops off bill. Told her we had not asked for our check. She told us that!s how they are trained . We thought this to be quite rude , Are they looking to turn tables ? Place was empty It looked and did taste good But really no meat. Plenty of mashed potatoes plus munster cheese. Not going to lye it was very tasty but where's the beef ? Not sure if we will return.

There is an entrance on the south side of the building if coming South on Federal Hwy. Big parking lot in back . Or off Oakland and Middle River light , which is across from target . Walked in and was greeted by the bakery depot. Then hostess shows us our table. Big menu. Breakfast ends at 11 o’clock except on Saturday and Sunday. Ordered a lunch special which was a cup of soup of choice and a half a sandwich for only $9.99. I asked for Matzaball with noodles, plus a the half of turkey. I asked for challah bread for soup. She brought us two nice slice nice and thick. Soup only came w/crackers. Sandwiches came with a side of coleslaw, which I found to be a little vinegary but my friend said no so I guess it’s all what you like. I had been to the Boca location and sign up for Toojay’s friend . So I was send a free slice. Server couldn’t pull it up . So I spoke to Jeff at the hostess station told him it was my birthday actually May 31 when it expired if you can’t pull it up oh well I didn’t think that was so nice he just opened. I asked for a half sour pickle , they don’t have have half sour pickles , really ? The food was good don’t get me wrong and the service was primo just I found it wrong plus they didn’t add my points on for this visit. Plus server and Jeff knew since I was sent the offer. Tsk Tsk Also for such a large place the restroom had only One handicap stall and a regular stall, for a large place you should have more...

We have always enjoyed too Jays, and we looked forward to this location when they were building it. So we went there when it first opened, and our server had no idea how to wait the table. She never brought us water, we asked for stuff we never got, I ordered a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato and they left off the bacon and tomato. Once I advised her that they left off the bacon and tomato, she brought it back and returned with the sandwich that was peeled open and cold bacon and tomato were placed on it. We advised the manager, and never left a yelp or review after he made every attempt to correct it, but it was pretty disturbing so we figured we would give the server and the location the benefit of the doubt.

Now fast forward to yesterday. We got the same waitress, who still did not know what she was doing even though it’s been months since we had returned to that location. Once again she never brought us water even though we asked for it several times, she never returned to see how things were going, and we needed more items. I had to beg another wait staff for water . She eventually brought us more stale bread and butter. It was really sad. The soup was cold and she placed it on the tables edge to where I had To catch it and push it back. Not sure why she did that since the whole table was empty. Maybe she was trying to spill it on me. The rest of the food was ok, but not the usual too jays standards. The issue we ran into was when we had dessert included with meal . On the menu , it gave us a choices on the and the waitress just placed a plate of cake in front of us which she explained was for my husband and I to share. So I paid for a premium meal, which included desert for each person and it clearly said choice , but there was no choice. Then it took us another 10 mins to get another wait staff to get us another glass of water, the check and a box for take home. Our waitress was standing directly behind our booth talking, but she obviously had no intention on returning to our area. Then when we were leaving we saw her laughing about it with the girl who seats people.

Too jays you should be ashamed of yourselves. We won’t be back to...

I couldn't be more disappointed. Would give them zero stars if it were an option. Ordered dinner for 2 "to go". Two bowls of soup, each 8$ each. The container is no bigger than a small/medium cup of coffee...and that's supposed to be their "Bowl". What an 8$ rip-off! I've had matzo balls bigger than their supposed "bowl". Their chicken soup has the following write-up on their menu:

"Loaded with chicken & vegetables. Only Bubbe makes it as good."

Read the rest of the review then check out the included pictures of what arrived. One of those items is of the brothless BOWL of soup. Half the CUP is noodles with no sign of it being LOADED with anything including chicken or vegetables. Wait, it gets better. Their to-go containers leak more than the feds! When the order arrived at my house, the other items in the to go bag were swimming in the broth that was SUPPOSED to be in the 'Bowl'. I should amend to that previous sentence... the other items that they didn't forget to pack in my to-go order that is. They forgot to include one of the entrée items I ordered. The entrée that did arrive , a ruben, came in a cheap container that was cracked and partially melted. I'm sure that's healthy. Long story short, the entire ordered was ruined. Even if it hadn't been, the place is overpriced and you aren't getting nearly the amount of food that you are paying for. Never...ordering....from....here.... again!
