I must preface this by saying that the food was good; the service, however was atrocious. Before posting this review, I sent emails to the ownership in which I expressed our displeasure. three weeks later, we have yet to hear a peep, meaning they don't care. Therefore, I am posting my letter on this site explaining the situation.
Dear Management,
After searching for the perfect restaurant to enjoy an evening with my wife and my sister and her husband- who, incidentally had just come in from a long day traveling- I chose to make reservations at your establishment over several others. Once everyone in my party had arrived, we were seated at a four top and commented on the nice motif the restaurant boasts and the pleasantness of the hostess. From there, the evening went downhill.
Our server upon approaching the table never introduced herself, nor did she offer any appetizers or ask us if we had any questions about the menu. She stood there, looking as if she was “put out” that she had to be there, not smiling and staring at her digital tablet waiting for us to tell her what to do and what we wanted. We decided to start with waters all around as we really were not sure what we wanted and an extended period of time passed before those were delivered to our table. When our server returned, she was not at all interested in making sure our needs were met, in that, my sister and her husband wanted a sushi roll, (I am not sure which one), that had cream cheese, something my brother in law does not care for. The request was to have the roll made, ½ with and ½ without, to which the response was, “we can’t do that,” it is either in or out. No offer to ask the chef, come up with another solution, literally it was just that cut and dried, prompting my sister to make another choice, that they ultimately were not impressed with.
We ordered our meals and, except for when we started to get annoyed at the lack of service, never saw her again until the bill was delivered. The food, was good, the service however, was not. We had servers and expeditors reaching over the table, across our faces and in general, I cannot think of one instance where general server protocol was followed. Our table condiments were empty and we had to chase down a couple of different people, not our server mind you because she was nowhere to be found, to get new settings. We had to ask several time for drink refills, wasabi and ginger often to different members of your staff.
This was a special evening on many levels. My wife and I have triplets and rarely if ever get to go an enjoy a nice evening together. My sister and I see each other on very rare occasions as she lives on the other side of the state. Instead of being served and doted on, we spent much of the evening looking for people to help us, constantly having to break our evening to accomplish what your servers and staff are paid to do. Upon leaving last night, my wife stated,” the food was good, but I don’t know that I would go back because of the service.” I spend 15 years in the industry and I constantly taught my staff that you can overcome a bad meal, but overcoming bad service is nearly impossible.
In my opinion the food although good, because of the poor service, suffered there as well. I, personally, would not have left a tip had it not been out of consideration for my Brother in Law who would have been upset if I hadn’t.
I get that there are thing that happen, I have honestly been there, however, last night was just over the top.

Read moreLet me begin by saying the food is usually good... My girlfriend and I are repeating customers, and we usually have Vicky serving us. We typically get a 3-4 rolls to share and always tip well. Tonight, after I noticed my roll was missing a main ingredient (cream cheese) inside after eating a couple pieces, I brought it up to Vicky. Instead of apologizing or offering to bring us a new one, she walks away and comes back with cream cheese on the side. I kindly explained I couldn’t stuff it inside my roll and she told me to put it on top, which I nicely responded I wasn’t happy with. Since she didn’t offer a reasonable solution I just continued eating it. She brought the bill and I (politely) asked what she can do, such as removing it, because of the roll being made incorrectly. I tried explaining that because it was missing an ingredient, the roll also wasn’t tightly packed and was falling apart because of the empty space in it. She told me “no” because I ate it. Best she said she could do was take $2 off of the $16 sushi roll (which never did). She wasn’t sympathetic, didn’t say “let me see what I can do”. I was unhappy with my experience and she didn’t seem to care (even though we always come and ask for her). I decided not to tip, and she approached me in front of everyone in the restaurant about it. I was open and hearing her out, and she asked why so I respectfully began to respond and Vicky proceeded to interrupt me demanding “you need to give me a tip” at which point I said actually no i don’t, to which she let me know “i’m never serving you again”. Really wanted to like this place, won’t ever go back. UPDATE: I was NOT offered to exchange the roll. I was brought a small a small plate of cream cheese. Your response to this review is incorrect and false...
Read moreI went in to grab my pickup order and was not greeted by anyone and then proceeded to wait to be acknowledged for an awkward amount of time by the female bar tender that was present. When I was finally acknowledged there was no “Hi how are you?” or pleasantries at all just a stale “Can I help you?”. I said I had a pick up order and then she walked away to grab it. When she returned with the order I proceeded to check to see if the sauces I asked for over the phone with male employee when I called to place my order with & I at first did not see them. I asked if I could have the sauces to which she responded “it costs extra” and I said “no I spoke with a gentleman on the phone who told me to ask for it if he forgot when I came in. I am not paying for extra sauce.” She disregarded what I said and then shoved a receipt in front of me saying “sign here.” So I asked again for my sauces because I felt ignored with her just moving on to the next part of the transaction. She then says “it’s in there.” I told her it was not. Shook the sauces to show here they were watery like soy sauce and I asked for eel sauce which is thicker. She walks away and gets another employee (most likely the male I spoke to on the phone when placing my order) and he says “your sauce is in there under those.” I double checked and I had one container of eel sauce for my 2 people sushi boat order. So I ask again for another sauce (because logically two people need two sauces for a BOAT of sushi). He, almost with reluctant energy, grabs me another sauce. I still tipped them because I have worked in the industry many years but their attitudes and customer service is below subpar. Plus it’s Valentines Day maybe smile? Or pretend to be happy around customers for three sake of your...
