This place used to be a lot better. But, this time the beef teriyaki was tasteless and the consistency of the meat was as if it had fake burn marks, reheated then had cheap bottled sauce poured over it. The tea was cold and it was hard to get their attention to get refills. On top of that they charged us for the tea. Most Japanese restaurants include it with meals. My wife had teriyaki salmon and that was just ok, as she has certainly had better both there and elsewhere. Maybe it was a bad night or a bad cook, so it is fair to say you can give them the benefit of the doubt.
In the staff's defense they did try to accommodate us and showed us that the meat was indeed fresh. At first they blamed it on a new cook, then reversed their story and said the cook had been there for years. Then they told us different cooks mixed up different sauces...whatever. To their credit in a show of good faith they did give us a discount that cancelled out the tea, and I appreciated their gesture.
It still does not take way the fact the food was below the standard of what I had eaten there before. However it was certainly edible mixed with soy sauce, ginger, and wasabi. Bottom line: there are a lot of Japanese restaurants out there we have left to try, so I'm scratching this one off my list...not terrible, but...
Read moreThe sushi isn't much to brag about. I rather just buy sushi from the deli, seems fresher, and I would get it on time. The customer service is HORRIBLE. Theres multiple(4) servers on the floor, two sushi chefs, 5tables, and it took 20mins just to get 4 warm fresh oysters. Mean while needing water/drink refills, no one cares to fill or check up on us. We sit here not eating, no drinks, trying to make eye contact with someone; just to get over looked by many workers. Finally our two rolls arrive, 50mins later, with even less tables by this time. By the time we finished our sushi we tested to see how long it would take to be noticed, that we want our check. Took so long we had to ask for it. An hour later 2 people wanting lunch, just only 2 rolls and 4 oysters; 2 chefs, 4 servers, 5tables(2-3per table) just lost a valued customer, whom I have tried this resturant 3 times now-NEVER CHANGES! 3...

Today they have totally messed up my order, out of nowhere asked me to pay extra for the same substitute I have been doing for past year, I asked for a extra cooked roll cos I can’t have anything raw and they served me completely raw roll. I placed an order over the phone (as always) and clearly the lady wrote down something else and when I went back to complaint they started blaming me that I actually did place an order like that!
