Milk Tea Lab — Restaurant in Pleasant Hill

I used to come here very frequently because the workers were incredibly friendly, and the drinks and food were always delicious with generous portions—especially the popcorn chicken, pearls, and Too Good To Go items. It was definitely one of my favorite spots.

Unfortunately, in recent visits, the service hasn't been the same. One of the workers has been less friendly, and the portions for popcorn chicken and pearls have noticeably decreased, even when ordering double pearls. For Too Good To Go, they used to provide one large drink and one regular size drink, both with generous pearls, but lately, it's only been one regular size drink.

I hope they return to the great service and portions they once offered. With so many other great spots in the East Bay, I might explore other options for now, but I’ll keep an eye on...

I would give no starts if possible. I always come and get a specific milk tea in a size large. The last time I wanted to go, there was a sign on the door saying renovations were being done. Now, I came again when they re-opened. It’s a nice renovation inside, but they changed their menu, sizing, but kept the same prices. I paid the same price I would pay for a large, for a regular. The drink had no sweetness, no flavoring, tasted like I was just drinking a cold glass of iced milk with boba. I think if I’m paying the price of a large, I should at least be getting the same quality drink as I used to. I don’t know if it was because of the worker, but this did not remotely taste the same as the las time I came. It’s sad to see that my favorite boba place is going downhill instead...

This place has completely won me over after the recent changes! The new ownership clearly knows what they're doing - the revamped recipes are ABSOLUTELY FONDERFUL! I could immediately taste the difference in my classic milk tea; richer flavor yet not overly sweet, with this perfect creamy finish that keeps me coming back.

The expanded menu is a game-changer! Not only do they have an incredible variety of creative drinks （The mango delight is super tasty！） but the new kitchen snacks surprised me too. Those yummy popcorn chicken and takoyaki！What really impressed me is their commitment to quality. You can ACTUALLY SEE fresh fruits being prepared for the fruit...
