Shelby Campbell's Eatery & Bar — Restaurant in Pleasant Prairie

Breakfast “brunch” is equivalent to the Ireland AI Willy Wonka experience. High expectations but it’s just another continental breakfast.

The staff here are extremely great which is why I’m torn on this review.

My entire party is disappointed in what they consider a brunch and I’ll have to live the rest of my life being reminded that I had put together a get together for an overpriced hotel continental breakfast.

For $25 You get eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, potatoes, pancakes, fruit and cereal whether you drink or not. Typical hotel continental breakfast. If you go further up the highway to the next exit, for $10 less, you’ll get all that plus ribs, roast beef, shrimp, a salad bar, biscuits and gravy, pot roast, fish, and much more. We were definitely expecting a bit more. And please don’t try justifying the presence of the Easter bunny to justify the higher price. The Easter eggs were scattered around a corridor in the double tree hotel. The effort put into this was minimal which is why I relate it to the AI Willy Wonka experience.

I am generally forgiving and patient when it comes to restaurants. I understand how hard it is in the service industry. That having been said...

Decided to try this place - had high hopes. We started with the cheese curds. They were delicious. Creamy, crunchy outside - really good. The kids ordered the Mac and Cheese. Creamy, saucy, but just very bland. I ordered a burger medium well. It was bland, overcooked and dry. My wife ordered a BBQ burger - same - dry, bland. The waffle fries were good.

Service was awful. The waitress mumbled, didn't answer our questions. When it came time for the bill, it took almost 30 minutes to complete the transaction. Waitress completely ignored us while we were trying to get her attention to get the bill. When we finally got it, we set out our credit card, and the waitress started cleaning the table. Wouldn't make eye contact. We had to ask her to run our card so we could go. She seemed annoyed that we would ask.

Like I said - we had high hopes - but Shelby Campbell's is a hard...

I recently dined at Shelby Campbell’s Eatery & Bar and had the pleasure of trying their Brat Burger. The flavors were incredibly well-balanced, intermingling perfectly to create a delightful taste experience. The meatloaf patty was wonderfully textured and easy to devour, making each bite a true joy.

Our server, Nick was prompt and attentive, greeting us warmly upon arrival and quickly presenting us with house chips to munch on while we waited for our food. These chips were incredibly addicting and perfectly seasoned, making it hard to stop going back for more. They were the perfect appetizer to prep us for the main course to follow.

Overall, I would highly recommend Shelby Campbell’s Eatery & Bar. The combination of excellent food and top-notch service made for a memorable...
