Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy recommendation, if you want good customer service, or concern about nut allergies, avoid Paris Baguette -- especially avoid this location. I definitely will not be going back.
When I went in to pick up a holiday cake I had ordered, I asked if had nuts and the person helping me asked someone else if it had nuts. She didn't know so she asked someone else and after thinking for a while, they said it did indeed have nuts. I went back out to my car and then called my wife and she was irate because she specifically ordered it to not have nuts, as per the web page.
I went back in to double-check, showing what the ingredients list online said, and they said that it didn't have nuts. For them to be so cavalier about the nuts vs. no-nuts question is pretty infuriating when I have two people in my family with severe nut allergies. But they just brushed it off like it was nothing. The assistant manager was rude and when I asked for the manager she said "What's up?". Not "How can I help you?" Not assuming the customer was right or deferring to the customer. Just "What's up?"
At this point, I don't want to do business at all with them, so I asked for a refund. They said that since I took the cake out that they couldn't do it. I asked for just a refund and to have them throw the cake out since they were misleading and I didn't want to do business with them. I didn't want a free cake, I just didn't want to give them my business. Again they refused.
So I left and will be disputing the charge on my...
Ā Ā Ā Read morewe come here frequently only because itās conveniently located on our way to see family. we much prefer the other locations, especially the one in sunnyvale. the cakes and pastries are good, but the service at this location is abysmal. i can recall a handful of bad encounters at this location even from the last few months. i especially want to shout out the guy working at 7 pm on 1/18/2022. he is a masterclass on how to be the rudest worker in hospitality.
when we brought out items to checkout, he asked if we wanted a bag. we wanted our pastries in a box, so we told him such. he rudely told us that he could only give us a box for the pastries and not the bread that we got. totally fine, but i donāt understand the attitude. we never even asked for a box for the sliced bread.
but the icing on the cake was when we ordered a large cake. i asked if he could write happy birthday on it. he said no before i could even finish my question. i was stunned. he then said that there was no one here to write it. mind you, iāve been to much lower end and also super luxurious bakeries before and iāve never heard that excuse before. iāve also never had such rude service at a bakery before. i just paid and left afterwards. i wasnāt interested in dealing with his cold attitude when we did nothing to offend him.
iād suggest management sit down their staff and give them a refresher on how to properly deal with paying customers. thereās so much improvement to be made with the staff at...
