I've stopped in here a few times to get a few growlers to go. I typically end up here while stopping through town to visit friends or grab a bite to eat. If I lived closer this place would definitely be one of my go-to's as far as beer goes—and rightfully so as there aren't all that many places in town to get a decent fresh beer on draft.
I continue to stop in here for a couple reasons. First being that the staff/bartenders are extremely friendly and willing to help with any questions or concerns you may have regarding their beer. Second being that the beer in general is just good. I haven't found anything here that I would call my favorite over something else, but when all is said and done they just make good beer—plain and simple and good beer is well good, what else can you ask for?
I also love how this place is decorated (it just has that old timey feel and look to it). They also frequently have local art hanging on the walls that I believe you can buy if you feel so inclined to do so.
When you first walk in, it would appear that this is one of the smaller breweries that you've probably been to, but that isn't entirely true. What is true is that the seating area around and near the bar isn't very big, but lucky for you, there is more seating upstairs—so grab your beer and take a hike upward. Yet another highlight of this place is it's location. It's located in the Old Village area of downtown Plymouth. You can find various places to eat and shop all in the same area where you're grabbing a really good beer, or two, or five.
All in all, if you're in the area, or even if you aren't in the area—venture out, grab a bite at Hermanns and head down the street for a few rounds of really simple and really delicious beer.

Read moreWe were fortunate enough to have hosted our wedding reception at The Bearded Lamb earlier this month and we cannot say enough amazing things about our experience! Alison at The Bearded Lamb is phenomenal to work with and very good at what she does. She was incredibly responsive, accommodating, knowledgeable and helpful, and she truly helped to make the whole reception run so smoothly and stress free. The upstairs loft space was the perfect intimate setting for our 50 guests. We were able to have a catering company set up a full buffet and still had enough space to dance the night away. Our guests loved the cozy atmosphere and the incredible drink selection (even offering delicious wines, ciders and sangria options for non-beer drinkers!), on top of the top notch customer service by all of the staff at The Bearded Lamb. We are so grateful to Alison and all the staff at The Bearded Lamb for truly making our wedding reception so unforgettable! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!!

Read moreWe love stopping in here periodically for a beer. The beer selection is very limited these days, unfortunately. It is also a bummer that they do not offer any substantial food… just popcorn and maybe another snack or two. Problem is, we are not ones to go sit and drink just for the sake of sitting and drinking. We prefer to go out to dinner and have a drink or two. If all I want to do is have a drink, we just do that at home. BUT, that said, Bearded Lamb happens to be along our walking circuit, and sometimes we stop in for a beer while we are out on our walk, which is lovely. We like to grab a spot out back. They usually try to give us a plastic cup for our beer when we sit outside, which I abhor. No other bars in town insist on serving drinks on their patios in plastic cups, so I don’t really get that. But if you ask for a glass, they usually will accommodate, though the bearded guy always frowns when I...
