First day singing with the New Hampshire Music Festival on the Plymouth University campus. I stumbled across what can only be described as a local gem.
They have all sorts of things to recommend it as a haunt for my time here... WiFi, excellent deli counter (complete with in store made salads and sandwiches to order), Stellar beer selection (both domestic and imported, side note, they have a. "Build your own six pac from singles that I will surely be returning for), A wine selection for all budgets (that eases the San Franciscan in my heart) and a staff was helpful and prompt.
The people that flock in and out right at noon could delay a quick lunch but how long are we talking? 10 extra minutes?
There is a coffee shop in the same store front that carries all fair trade coffee and bedecked in prayer shawls hanging from their rafters you'd feel right at home if you too were from the pacific northwest, as I am.
There is a no frills cafe seating area where you can sit and watch the locals as you peruse their epic beer coolers in the comfort of their air conditioning.
I ate the fairly priced lobster roll and the linguini salad, but will be returning for the beer and...

In this day and age, getting kids involved in their town is better than sitting inside playing video games. You would think a small home town business would be supportive. The "deli" name is deceiving. You're paying their food bill. Not very kid or family friendly. In a town where it is mostly college students and their families from all over the globe. It would really be family friendly if they had a children's and senior menu/ discount. The prices are extremely high even for today's economy. How can one get a decent meal in a town where it is so money driven. And to top it off nothing is included with the sandwich. Small trial sized bags of chips are full of air and the cost is more than a family size bag. Your best bet is to head down to the expensive Hannaford store buy some cold cuts, buns, chips, drinks and salad for less than what this deli charges. One last thing that I have to mention is that the crowd is loud obnoxious college aged "kids" that come in to drink alcohol and gossip while a couple or a family try to enjoy a meal. Not worth...
Read moreOMG this place has the best hoagies outside of South Jersey/Philadelphia.... the tomatoes that they put on the sandwich tastes like they're straight out of a garden from my home state of Jersey the beautiful Garden State... I live about 20 to 25 minutes from this place and I only have a Subway in the town that I live in and the little pizza shops don't do justice to a good hoagie so I will absolutely be making the drive anytime I'm craving a hoagie. They have amazing salads to I got a broccoli and bacon cheddar salad that was to die for and the service while a little slow was excellent and worth the wait. The only complaint I have is that I asked for oil on the side and they actually put it on the sandwich and I was driving a good distance but I have to say the hoagie roll they used held up to the oil that was on the sandwich very well. That tiny mix up is not worth taking a star away cuz they're sandwiches are that good so...
