I have mixed feelings about this place. I do feel they make the best coffee compared to the other two places however their prices are unbelievably extreme. I just paid $15 for a pastry and a coffee. Most of the cost was a coffee. That's ridiculous. I don't find their pastries that great but it's a hit or miss. They look absolutely fantastic but I found their monkey bread to be very hard and stale two times in a row now. As well as overpriced like everything else there. And I don't advise the lemon meringue or key lime anything. Tart is an understatement. I threw it out. I was not a fan of the burnt cheesecake either. But they do chocolate really well. Anything chocolate they do a fantastic job with. I passed on the banana torte because it was $9. Little tiny pastry $9 is insane. Boutique bakery or not their prices are what keeps me away most of the time. Market Basket up the street has a bakery that is just as good. And about a quarter of the price. Like I said I have mixed feelings. Absolutely hit or miss on the pastries but the coffee is always fantastic it's just extremely expensive. I take my coffee very seriously and I do believe they have the best. I worked in the hotel restaurant business most of my life so I'm sorry if I'm over opinionated but I've had a lot of experience. I understand it is more of a boutique Cafe. But the product is not...
Read moreKeegan Kreations croissants (and many other pastries, both puff and non) are better than any other I've tasted, and this includes pastries we've had in Paris. We live an hour away from Keegan's location, but have still made handful trips down to get our fix. It spoils you for other puff pastries, really. Even my children can tell the difference between Keegan pastries and others, and calls his, the best.
Pre-ording online during the pandemic really assures me that I'm driving an hour to get exactly what I was hoping for and hope it actually stays past the pandemic. The Morning Bun is my favorite, but I gladly also love the classic Croissant, Almond Croissant, Matcha, Double Chocolate, Pecan Sticky Bun and Pistachio Rose.
Everyone whom I've shared Keegan Kreations with all think his pastries are worth driving an hour for, or the reason to drive to Plymouth.
His cakes are also delicate, airy, and light with wonderful ingredients. I have especially enjoyed his cakes with hazelnut and blueberries. We love Keegan Kreations, and hope the business becomes a...
Read moreI held an art reception and wanted to present a lovely and elegant selection of desserts for the guests, along with Prosecco and Rose wine. Keegan Yee customized a menu for me and made recommendations that would work best for guests who would be standing and mingling. His culinary art paired perfectly with the tone of the show of paintings, and the presentation was beautiful, understated elegance. He and his partner arrived early to set it up 'just so.' All the guests LOVED everything, especially the unique tiramisu cups (the best tiramisu I have ever had, with just a hint of Kahlua; the cream was smooth, fresh and light; the cocoa on top created an appealing surface; and it was presented impeccably without a smudge on any cup - no easy feat). It should be no surprise that Chef Keegan had previously been a pastry chef at the Taj Boston (formerly Ritz Carlton Hotel), where I have had High Tea on special family occasions and holidays - none better. Thank you to chef Keegan Yee and the Keegan...
