We visited twice during our stay.
Service (5/5): both nights we came the servers were amazing. Our first night we had Kristen and she was so pleasant, helpful, responsive and timely. Our 2nd waitress was also great for similar reasons.
Additionally, on the first night of our stay we had reserved a fire pit and it was out back near the patio. On the patio came four 55+ adults, 2 sets of couples. They appeared drunk and were so obnoxious we thought we would need to speak to a manager. They made the whole fire pit experience a 0/5. However, apparently other customers complained (after about 30-40 min) because managers came out and told them to quiet down. Then about 10 min later the managers had to come back out because the same group had brought a cooler of their own alcohol. So instead of following the rules, they continued to be obnoxious to the managers and then ended up leaving and complaining, cursing and grumbling the whole time. When we left for the evening we complimented the managers about how professional they handled the situation.
Food (3/5): we were slightly disappointed with the quality/taste of our food. We ordered chicken fingers and French fries the first night and they were good. We had also reserved a fire pit with s'mores on the first night and had a great time making s'mores. However, the fire pit kept going out and the staff had to try and restart it 2-3 times. Eventually I asked if I could help the process and we were able to keep it going. Second evening: we ordered Nachos w ground beef and pork belly for appetizers. For dinner we ordered kids Mac-n-cheese w onion rings, the taco salad w grilled chicken and shredded BBQ pork w fries. For dessert we ordered the berry cheesecake. The best item of all we ordered were the onion rings (4/5). I barely ate my taco salad as the avocado wasn't fresh, it was a pre packed one and the grilled chicken was also not fresh, tasted old and dry. I threw 80% out. The nachos had cheap tasting cheese on it and the ground beef had little to no taste/flavor or seasoning. The best part of the nachos were the actual chips which were good. The shredded pork my husband rated a 5/10. We ended w a dessert, the Mixed Berry cheesecake. The cheesecake tasted store bought and wasn't very flavorful. The berry sauce was, however, flavorful and the best part.
Atmosphere (4/5): Fire pits, outdoor patio, corn hole game, activities for kids until 7pm, large Jenga game, etc. it was a nice place.
We would likely go elsewhere in the future for food but would highly recommend for the...
Read moreI went there this past weekend and had the worst experience ever. First I went to the bar and ordered an Irish coffee for myself and a Bloody Mary for my friend. I was charged $26 dollars for the Irish coffee. They charged PER ingredient so $9 coffee, $11 Jameson, and $6 baileys. Then an additional $7 “service fee” was added to my bill as well. WHAT?? We sat down at a table and were asked to move because it was for reservations only. So we went to the hostess stand and put our names in for 5. We were told the wait would be about 40 mins despite a half empty restaurant. We stood by the bar for 40 minutes watching the same 4 empty tables sit there UNOCCUPIED. We went back to the hostess stand to follow up about 5 mins before our “reservation” arrived and to let them know our party size was being changed from 5 to 3. The manager explained that our table was ready after all and the hostess was looking for us. She sat us down at the same table we had been kicked out of 40 minutes prior that had remained empty. The waitress came over and we requested waters. She asked if she should bring 5 and I corrected her that it was only 3 of us, and then she asked if she could move us to a different table. We explained that we’d prefer not to because we already informed the hostess stand that we were a party of 3 and were frustrated enough. She waitress grabbed the hostess again and forced us to move tables. We requested to speak to the manager and the hostess said she would see if they were available and then no one ever showed up.
ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS SIT DOWN AND DRINK MY $30 DRINK FOR 10 MINUTES!!!!!!! Literally the worst...
Read moreStopped into Trails End Pub on Saturday, January 18th as my husband wanted to take a break from the lines and grab a drink. It was probably around 4/5 PM. I ordered my husband a beer and asked for a water for myself. I was told the water was at the end of the bar. The water was in a jug with ice and you could clearly see from where myself and the bartender were standing there was no water in the jug. The bartender quickly walked away without offering to fill it or just give me a glass of water. A couple minutes later my husband asked the bartender for water (for me) and she told him the same thing, he advised her that there was no water left in the jug and she very rudely told him that we would have to wait for water, without making any attempt to get it filled or just simply pour a glass of water. For an establishment that serves alcohol in a park in which people are exerting themselves, dehydration could be a real issue and this was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. We were paying customers, not just looking to drink the water. I was fine and won't pretend that I wasn't, just a little thirsty, but if someone had a medical condition, this could have been a major issue. I wish I got a minute to look at the bartenders name, we at that point just wanted to get out of that place, but she definitely needs a lesson (or 10) in customer service. I have worked in the service industry for years, and have never felt the need to write a review until now. We will gladly return to the park, but never trails end...
