We had a terrible experience at the camelback resort this past weekend. We booked a one night stay on a Friday late afternoon. Our plan was to arrive Saturday afternoon, go to the waterpark, sleepover, then visit the waterpark again Sunday morning before leaving. Upon check-in the front desk informed us that the waterpark would be closed on Sunday for a deep clean. This completely ruined our plans. The compensation offered for the inconvenience was outdoor waterpark passes for the summer or arcade tokens. Neither of those options were acceptable to me. The value in staying overnight at the resort is the ability to visit the waterpark both days you are there.
The manager on duty was unable to help us and after I asked for her supervisor she just disappeared in the back of the front desk. The best the front desk could do was cancel our reservation without a fee. But it seems that they couldn't do that right as I now have a double charge for a room on my credit card.
Look, I totally understand and appreciate that they need to deep clean the pool. This whole situation could have been avoided if they were transparent during the booking process that the pool would be closed on Sunday. There should have been a pop-up on the screen that informed me the pool would be closed. We only booked 24...
Read moreAlthough we did not stay at the resort. We came for camelbeach and had a blast. I will say I underestimated the amount of time we would spend. I purchased the ticket for 3 to 7 but it was not enough time. My family and I started building up our momentum at 6, lollll. Initially, I was a little shy on some of the rides but then we went with the vibes we had a blast. Truly will be back next summer for the whole day experience. Food was decent, not terrible on the prices. You can bring in water no outside food. If you're renting a cabana you must do in advance they go fast. Lockers are priced according to size, but you do get a small refund back when you give back your key. CAMELBEACH IS THE SUMMER NAME N CAMELBACK IS THE WINTER NAME! Oh dinosaur attraction was so cute my kids are big so they weren't wowed but many little children there loved it. My sons and niece did indulge me by taking 1 Pic loll!! A MUST GO FOR...

Do purchase ticket online, ahead of time. 3 parking options (expensive, as parking usually is). If I remember correctly, each parking lot is a little more $ than the other.I recommend arriving 30 min prior to the gate opening so you can get in front of line to go thru security, ticket scan and get chairs. Use that time to put on sunscreen. Bring water to drink and flip flops/water shoes-the ground is very hot for bare feet. They have changing rooms & basic showers that I recommend taking advantage of...
