The server seemed very inexperienced. She looked at the menu while we were ordering. She was constantly confused about what we were ordering and made the entire dining experience very uncomfortable.
My sister ordered the clams linguini with a side Caesar salad. The server said “Ok, I’ll ask the kitchen if you can have a salad instead of pasta”. My sister then said “no, I want the clams linguini AND a side Caesar salad”. The server still didn’t understand and kept repeating, “okay so I’ll remove the linguini and give you a salad”. It wasn’t until I spoke up and said “She wants to ADD on a side Caesar salad to her meal which is clams linguini” that the server finally understood.
When one person in our party asked for the scallop dish she said “you can’t order that” it wasn’t until we asked further then she explained that there weren’t enough scallops for the standalone scallop dish, and they only had enough for “the rush” and the seafood risotto. The person in our party then ordered the seafood risotto and it came out with zero scallops in it.
She repeatedly made comments to our two 16 year olds that they “must be really hungry” “wow you guys are ordering a lot of food” “do you girls still have room for that?” Those comments are just not appropriate to say to young impressionable girls who are conscientious of their weight.
When my 12 year old niece ordered a lemonade the server said “Okay well I would need to make that.”
My brother in law asked what the “ Stable 12 Black Bear” was she replied with “A beer.” Of course he knew it was a beer, it was under the beer menu, he was asking what kind of beer it was.
My husbands steak was raw when he asked for it to be medium rare. The manager was very accommodating and removed the steak from the check because my husband couldn’t eat it which we appreciated.
The manager was very nice, the restaurant overall was beautiful, but the server needs some serious training on both the menu as well as socialization in general. It was our last night on vacation and we were wanting a nice dinner out with the whole family but instead it was ruined. Four people in our party have worked as waiters/waitresses for many years, so we know what standards we were held to, and expect the same when we...
Read moreHad 8pm reservations for a family of 4. We arrived 5-10 mins early just incase they could seat us earlier. We were told upon check in to have a seat and they’d get us when the table was ready. We waited for 30 mins for a table and watched people who checked in after us get seated first. After about 25 mins of waiting I asked the hostess if we were still on the list (just incase maybe they forgot to check us in). She was very abrupt and a little rude and said (in no fewer words) they’d be right with us and to have a nice day. Okkkkk…… once we were seated we noticed that there were about 8 tables around us that were empty. These remained empty throughout our entire meal. Maybe they’re short staffed? We ordered our drinks from the hostess, received them, then the waitress came over (about 15 mins after we sat down). We placed our orders, calamari, Caesar salad, steak with bernaise sauce, and 2 kids burgers. The calamari was very good. My boys enjoyed the bread that was brought out. Then dinner came out. It was dropped by runners who literally ran right off. The boys burgers were brought with no ketchup, the steak was missing the sauce and had no steak knife, also no salt and pepper on the table or offered for the salad. We waited another 15 mins until we were able to catch our waitress to tell her all of the things that were missing. She brought it out but the bernaise was cold. Not even a sauce… more of a congealed blob. The boys barely ate their burgers and said they didn’t like it. So when she checked in with us we told her the kids didn’t like their food. She took it away and didn’t ask if they wanted anything else. They ate some of the steak and just munched on bread. When the bill came out we noticed the kids meals were still in there. At this point I was completely done. We paid and left. We had gone as a dinner for my birthday which was made note of at the time we made the reservation. Definitely not a place I will be...
Read moreThis place received 2 stars instead of a single only because of the interior design of the restaurant. As for the overall restaurant quality (food/service) it was definitely one of the worst dining out experiences I've ever been part of. We started out asking for 2 bloody Mary's and a order of calamari. The calamari seem to come out fairly quick but was well over cooked and flavorless. As we neared the end of our calamari, after reminding our waitress of the 2 missing drinks we finally received the 2 of them. They were definitely store purchased bloody Mary mix for the restaurant price of $26. When we were finally asked if we'd like to order a entree, about 1hr into our experience roughly 7:20p.m we both had questionable feelings about doing so. We decided to keep it simple and share a dish of shrimp scampi in garlic butter sauce. This simple one plate dish did not come out to the table until 8:17p.m, so just 3min shy of 1 hour. Being mindful the restaurant was not packed, it was actually quite empty, plenty of spare tables. While waiting for our dish the waitress came by once to ask if we wanted more WATER. Not more cocktails or bread. While waiting we noticed that tables of other patrons that left, still had not been cleared and still hadn't been cleared by the time we left. As for the quality of our dish, it was sub par at best. This dish one would have the expectation of amazement for having waited 1hr for it. Correction 57 min for it. Maybe just maybe the extra 3 min would have made all the difference for a better meal. I would hope that tonight 3/3/2020 was just a horribly off night, off off off night, maybe. I would suggest dine here with low expectations and hope...
