"Good food varieties and burgers to die for!" is what I used to say about this Pomona Bravo Burger location where I have frequently ordered for over 35 years. Unfortunately moved out of the area a year ago, so only visit every few months when in town. I was so disappointed with every aspect of the order I drove thru and subsequently brought home to my daughter for our dinner tonight. Our usual order includes 6 pieces chicken tenders, chili cheese fries, a Frisco burger with no Bravo sauce, and an order of zucchini fries. The chicken tenders used to be thick, juicy white meat breaded pieces, but tonight my daughter was thoroughly confused when she opened the box, and atop a bed of cold fries sat over 14 small flattened dry breaded chicken 'teardrops'. Huh? The chili cheese fries portion was notably smaller than usual. Then came my favorite, a Frisco burger with no Bravo sauce. It was cold, swimming in Bravo sauce, and had wonky lettuce and pungent onion strips. It was so intolerable, I braved through trying to eat the first half of the sandwich, only to feel nauseous and resolving to throw away what largely remained of the burger. Oh, but the zucchini fries surely saved the day, right? WRONG! Mushy, cold, limp, smashed strips of zucchini lay sadly in the box. Even the cups of ranch dressing had the unmistakable, overwhelming flavoring of garlic. Garlic? Why!? My daughter and I mused over possible reasons for such a drastic decline in overall quality. A change in ownership? New hirees? Swapping supply vendors? Rush hour frenzy? Whatever the reason behind this travesty, it's a sad state of affairs when you have to abandon a business you have visited on multiple occasions over decades, just because someone decided to change things up, and definitely not for the better. Goodbye old friend and it was nice...
Read moreAre you looking for excellent meals at average prices? We owned a home in North Pomona by the FairPlex, I passed this burger spot everyday on my way home from work. There was always a line of at least 5 cars in the drive thru but the line goes quick. The food is Great veggies crispy, meat seasoned and moist, fish is always fresh and delicious. Prepare to wait a few because the food is awesome and North Pomona residents know it. If you order a burger and fries, you better be hungry because they fill the whole tray. Just last week I had the Western burger combo and gave half to my wife... We both left very full. Bravo Burger is the first place I every had Chili cheese fries with pastrami. These are not ordinary pastrami fries, you can practically feed your whole family. You cannot make a bad order if you want a great tasting burger at average price, Bravo Burger will keep you wondering when you will go back for the next burger. You can even build your own. I recommend try the fish tacos plate. I love the crispy fish and fresh veggies and this place makes them to order so when you get them they will be smoking hot, also, I prefer to eat there the place is very clean, great service and I believe the meals are bigger when served on a tray then in a paper bag. Just my preference... This is a place for the whole family, when I go I usually end up sharing my meal with someone because of the amount of food, unless you are very hungry. That saves money buying less meals. I highly recommend you give Bravo Burger a try it's not an easy place to get to but definitely...
Read moreSo early today my friend ordered some breakfast and he found a DEAD fly on his plate. He brought it to the front and he was offered the chance to have it made again or have a refund. That was nice of them so he chose to have it done again but before they started, he actually changed his mind and asked for a refund. He was disgusted at this point and so was I and my other friend who saw the fly. My other friend was eating his food carefully to avoid finding a fly in his food. The drink was not refunded but they later brought a refund back for the drink while my other friend was finishing his food. I was not eating just hanging out with them, otherwise I would have checked my food for flies too. Our main issue was that the lady who brought the money for the drink claimed that the fly could not have been from their restaurant. That was so rude to say because maybe she implied my friend put it there? The fly was dead so it came from there obviously. When we were heading out, guess what? We found a live fly on the glass of the door from the inside of the store. So yes it did come from the kitchen. That's gross to think they have dead flies back there maybe even dust and who knows what. Not going back there for the lady claiming it could not have come from there but at least they refunded my friend. I took pictures of the food and a picture of the fly on the way out. It's hard to see but it's the black dot in the center of the glass. We all three saw it...
