IHOP — Restaurant in Pomona

So for this review I want to be fair. There were some typical expectations you have when eating at generic mainstream places like here or Denny's. First, our wait time doubled what we were promised to about 40 minutes, and then the server had brought out a hot chocolate inside of a mug that had a giant lipstick stain on the side of it. At that point we probably should've left because that is just plain disgusting and someone should check the quality of their dishwasher. But it was late in the morning and we hadn't eaten yet so we just stuck around because we were all beyond hungry.

But I will also give huge credit to our server. I wish I would've gotten her name because even though we were a big party and that place had already set us off to a negative start, she was amazing. She was extremely polite, genuinely happy, and didn't hesitate to fill a request. She honestly is too good for that place and should be working somewhere much nicer but bless her for doing such a great job with a positive attitude. I just came back from breakfast. We were 4, two adults and 2 kids. For a bill of $95 plus dollars ( over $100 with the tip), the food quality is absolutely the lowest; you would think that we order lobster or something because of our total price, but no, it was just a regular breakfast. My wife and I ordered omelettes that were dry, unseasoned (so tasteless), all you could taste was how cheap the ingredients were. My 9 y/o ordered chicken and waffles (which we were given the adult size, but we didn’t complain). For $18, the chicken was mostly the breaded coating and they were over cooked, the waffle was also overcooked. The prices are high and the quality is garbage. If I could give negative o zero stars I would. I advice to spend your hard earned money somewhere else; if you have to pay this much, at least should be a place where the food...

My husband and I always loved coming here...service was stellar..food usually cooked to order and tasty .but this past Saturday (feb.17th .24) we went in..the server took our order...brought me my hot tea (no silverware) another server gave some to us...our order was never given to the kitchen! The server finally came out from the back and realized we weren't served yet..apparently she forgot about us...she resubmitted our order.. eggs were burned ..server never came back to our table...had to get syrup myself..she got 1 dollar tip from my husband (we usually tip at least 10) I would've left nothing...a tip is a gratuity ...grateful for good service..which we didn't get. What happened to the superior service? So disappointing.. Had to ask the manager for our bill..Btw..it wasn't...
