Early this evening I was about to walk into Jersey Mike's, but noticed the Open sign was turned off and so I thought they were closed even though it was just after 6 pm. I also saw a sign on the window saying there was no bread available for sandwiches. I walked away, but went back because I noticed a man getting food. Although I wanted a sandwich, I thought I'd check anyway. To my surprise the door was unlocked. I saw them making a sandwich for the customer and noticed the loaves of bread on the rack. While the guy took my order he seemed to rush me and kept asking, "Do you want anything else?" before I could finish telling him what I wanted on my sandwich. As I paid, I informed them (there were three employees at the front counter) that the sign on the door stating they had no bread was on the door. One said they forgot about it, but he didn't take it down. On Wednesday, earlier this week, I drove by at 8:45 pm hoping to get a sandwich, but saw that the Open sign was off and had noticed the sign on the window regarding no bread available. Read moreI ordered a chicken and also a beef sandwiche. Service was polite and quick. The chicken sandwiches I ate were hot, delicious, and far far better than anything subway ever dreamed of. Both sandwiches were prepared fresh on a grill. It costs double what subway charges, but that's the difference between imitation food from a microwave and fresh delicious human food prepared on a grill. 😀 Subway needs to scrap their model and take some tips from Mike's.
