The food is great, really tasty! I gave them 3 stars because the first time I came to visit the staff was friendly and the service was great. I was excited to visit again. Food was still delicious on our second visit, but we ran into many of the problems I am reading on the other reviews. Staff REALLY needs to be retrained on the basics.
Reservations were done on an old school yellow legal pad. Despite our 6:30 reservations we waited 30 mins to be seated. This wouldn't have been such a bummer except as mentioned in other reviews other people walked in behind us and were sat right away (we were a party of 3). The hostess even tried to sit us at the door table that was being used as a make shift togo station (not very inviting).
After being sat we waited 20+ mins for bread and a chance to order. I am pretty sure the only reason we got served that quickly was the owner/former owner was sitting at the table next to us and noticed our plight. He mentioned his food was worth the wait.
He was right, his food was, but unfortunately not the service. Either this waitress was grossly oversat or she is in the wrong business. There really was no service. No checking up on guests or filling up our drinks. If you needed something you had to be very forward as she sprinted by. Even then she only remembered half of what you requested.
Our little party of 3 was constantly being hit in the back, bumped and jostled by the food runners and bussing staff. I am NOT exaggerating when I say a half a dozen plus times!! Accidents happen, but it was obvious that they did not care or even apologize.
My last complaint might be nit picking, because a lot of food was served. However, the salads and deserts were not the same as the last time we visited. Still tasty, but they were presented so sloppily this time. The other half of our tiramisu order never made it to the table. It should be a square piece of cake. Most of the bottom must have still been in the pan. It was slumped over to one side and while it tasted delicious, it looked awful.
I really don't know if I will go back. First visit was awesome. Second time was...

She took us there . We parked in the back of the building . Since it was a Sunday night we parked at the pediatric office and walked over the restaurant. As I walked in I noticed the pictures hanging on the wall . The restaurant is set up so that all tables are in the middle . A nice view of a bunch of tables greeted me . Anita was our waitress . She was awesome . She made sure my escarole soup and salad weren’t cook with butter. It is very hard to come to a restaurant like this and have to keep a strict diet . Our first experience with the food was the bread . Oh! It looked divine . You get two types of bread : rolls and a loaf . The rolls are covered with garlic oh, it smelled wonderful . My husband had the eggplant Parmesan. He Loved it . He loved the pasta too!! My friend had chicken and mushroom . She loves it there and goes one time a week. The food and Anita made our experience so much better . What I had was good and healthy . The portions are big so come here hungry . The bathrooms are by the kitchen side. One toilet in the woman’s bathroom . Depending on how busy it is you might to wait a little . After about 45 min the place started getting mobbed . People were lined up waiting to get in . As the crowd steadily grew within the hour , it started to get really loud . Everyone gathered together in a cozy dinning room . It gets really loud. My husband was shouting practically so that my friend across the table could hear (she also can’t hear from one ear ) double work . I just sat there and stayed in silent cause she can’t hear from one ear , I have an accent and it’s super loud . So , I just meditated Mostly on the great food I wasn’t having . Oh ! I was so tempted but I stayed firm , thanks to Jesus !! I have this place on my list for...
Read moreI normally don't write reviews, but felt compelled to in this case. I have eaten here a few times in the past, usually getting food to go. Last night, however, I decided to dine-in for my birthday! We, my fiancé and I, had reservations for 8:30, so the noise level, that has been mentioned, wasn't an issue. All the staff was pleasant and they were very patient as we were taking our time. Due to the celebration I brought my own bottle of wine. Corkage was a very reasonable $20, just make sure that the wine that you bring isn't on their wine list (also very fair and reasonable). The salads were ample and well done. My fiancé ordered the chicken parmigiana and was happy with it. It was thin cut, as she likes it. Most of it came home with us however. I had the veal chop special with Marsala sauce [which I believe that they usually have regularly]. Oh my God! It was spectacular! One of, if not, THE best I've ever had. Thick (almost 2"), juicy and perfectly cooked with a great sear, it melted in our mouths. Even my companion was very impressed! It was so good that I felt compelled to call out the chef, who was also very pleasant, to personally pay him compliments. To be perfectly honest, the Veal Chop was what solely spurned me to post this review. Normally, not much impresses me when I go out to restaurants; after managing a very nice Lobster/Steakhouse and cooking regularly chef quality meals at home myself, it takes a LOT to make me go wow! Look at the pic of my Veal Chop below and judge for yourself! Wow! Thanks Gianni's, and especially Ken, the Chef, for a superb meal!

As far as reviews in general go..... most people..., not all, ... that write [negative] reviews are complaining, entitled idiots, that have nothing better to do than try to make other people feel as miserable as they do. The issues are usually caused by themselves and then they overreact to the...
